Sunrise Yoga Therapy
Each breath gives us life. Everyday is a new day to celebrate with love and joy. We could free ourselves from physical and emotional suffering by bringing our mindfulness and awareness to breath, movement and relaxation. More doctors today are recommending that patients do yoga as a supplement to traditional medicine.

For those who are experiencing any of the conditions listed below, yoga therapy can help reduce pain and discomfort, as well as mitigate fatigue, anxiety and depression. Michi works with a variety of clients in her practice, including seniors and cancer patients/survivors. Her sessions include breathing exercises, gentle therapeutic yoga poses, stretching, meditation, relaxation and life style suggestions.
Services
Many people suffer from physical and mental conditions and illnesses. Integrating the body and mind through conscious breathing, asanas (yoga poses) and meditation practice, we can help reduce the symptoms and side effects of treatment to improve the quality of life. Each therapy program is designed to suit the individual's needs and focuses on his or her specific condition to achieve the best results.
The principle of Ayurveda is to live in harmony with nature, the world and ourselves. Because our body is made of unique physical and subtle energies, we each have a different constitution, or quality of the body and mind. It is important to find our individual doshas/constitution and apply the philosophies of yoga, nutrition, self-care and lifestyle choices.
Michi recently received her chair yoga teacher certification from Sun Light Chair Yoga by Stacie Dooreck, Saraswati. Chair yoga can offer an opportunity to anyone who wants to practice yoga at any age or level of health or mobility. Those who can't get down on the floor or have a hard time with balance can greatly benefit from this practice.
Michi is a certified yoga teacher and yoga therapist. As the daughter of a Buddhist priest, she was taught from an early age to be humble and gracious to all living things. Spirituality was naturally implanted in her. Michi felt an instant body, mind and spirit connection when taking her first yoga class in 2003 and has been a devoted student ever since.
