EyeCare Plus was established in 1990 and is a privately owned, full service, optical shop with two locations. Our offices are in Newtown and Danbury and they are easily accessible to the surrounding areas in Connecticut. Most of the staff has at least 25 years experience and we do our best to treat our patients like neighbors and not just numbers.
Dr. Dean Harvey graduated from the New England College Of Optometry, Boston, Massachusetts, in 1986 and has over 29 years of experience working in Connecticut. He is the owner and Optometrist of both locations.

Services
A complete eye exam involves a series of tests designed to evaluate your vision and check for eye diseases. The doctor may use a variety of instruments, shine bright lights directly at your eyes and request that you look through an array of lenses. Each test during an eye exam evaluates a different aspect of your vision or eye health.
Dr. Harvey can fit a variety of contact lenses such as Color, Monovision, Bifocal and Toric Contacts. A routine eye exam is not the same as a contact lens exam. For contact lens wearers, a contact lens exam is necessary to ensure the lenses are fitting both eyes properly and that the health of the eyes is not harmed by the contact lenses.
