He has over 25 years of experience in general optometric eye care as well as children's vision and contact lenses. Dr. Golden graduated from SUNY Binghamton in 1984 when he graduated with high honors He studied optometry at SUNY College of optometry graduating with outstanding academic honors in 1989.

My husband and daughter went glasses shopping here. My husband noted that the staff seemed unable to retain information- my husband had to repeat everything several times. They staff stated they’d call him- they never did. He called and they had the audacity to say they have no record of him and requested his info yet again. My husband gently declined and asked that the order be canceled and staff rudely hung up on him. Recommendation for Dr Golden- hire new staff that demonstrates an investment in your success (or provide better mgmt or compensation so they respond accordingly.)

Had an eye exam here December 2019. Exam went fine, ordering glasses not so much.
I picked out glasses and had them ordered. Easy enough, right? Well I told them to make sure to bill for my glasses in December as to not mess with my next years benefit, I was ensured this would happen. Just went to get new glasses today and I can’t because they waited to run my insurance until January so I’ve lost the ability to get glasses this year. Furthermore I was never called when they finished my glasses, I finally got tired of waiting and called them, turns out they forgot about me.

I have been going to Golden Vision for vision checks, contacts, and glasses prescriptions for the past 4 years. While they do have competitive pricing and a decent selection of glasses, I always return because their customer service is simply a step above everyone else.
Dr. Golden always answers my questions in a way I can easily understand. He is also up-to-date on eye research and optical technologies.
The changes they made to their operating procedures during COVID made me feel very comfortable, and didn't negatively impact my experience in the slightest.

This past week my family took turns getting our eye exams and updated prescriptions. We have been coming to Dr. Golden for many years. He is still one of those doctors that takes as much time with the patient as needed. Each one of out exams was very thorough. The staff is friendly and happy and Dr. Golden is a gem. I highly recommend him to you and your family.

Dr. Golden seems like good doctor as family recently went for first time. However staff is not acceptable. Problems with insurance, woman nasty over phone, other issues in addition with staff. Also while waiting another patient recommended go elsewhere due to staff being bad. Also took several attempts to pick up phone for wife to get prescription sent to BJs

My family and I have been going here for years then one day his office tells me they don’t take my insurance. I spoke to dr Golden about it he was very rude and disrespectful. I would never do business with him again. If he would have handled the situation better I would have paid out of my own pocket. Customer service should be everything, I guess not in this situation.
