The hotel has a city passenger loading zone at the entrance and offers our guests the ability to purchase discounted parking tickets. The hotel property has no parking.

An evolving part of Sausalito since 1915, the Hotel Sausalito has style, warmth, and history. Sixteen luxurious rooms and suites feature custom-designed furnishings, handcrafted by local artisans. The hallways are lined with strikingly accurate renditions of Matisses and Monets by Napa Valley artist Kelleen Sullivan.
Services
A presence in the heart of Sausalito since 1915, the hotel boasts a colorful past rivaling that of the Barbary Coast across the bay. Built in Mission-Revival style, the hotel was widely reputed to have been a bordello. During Prohibition, located next to the docks, liquor from the trucks that rumbled past its doors for late night rendezvous assuredly found its way into the hotel parlor.
Warm and inviting, Hotel Sausalito's 14 rooms and 2 suites are luxurious but not fussy. Handsome, handcrafted furnishings, stained glass windows, and views of the park and harbor all serve to enhance the jewel-box quality of the rooms. Parking available at $20.00 per day with in and out privileges in a municipal parking lot adjacent to the hotel.
Hotel Sausalito provides hospitality to all who travel to the San Francisco Bay. Our hotel strives to make it possible for all people, including those with disabilities, to learn about the hotel and its properties. Hotel Sausalito specifically notes the accessibility features for its rooms.

Bridgeway between Johnston & Richardson St. Spectacular views of San Francisco Bay and the city skyline as you stroll, bicycle or roller-blade past shops, cafes and art galleries. Just steps from the shops, observe seals in action and watch sailboats in the bay.

Glamorous yachts berthed a few feet away from noteworthy restaurants, including Poggio, located in the historic Yacht Club, provide a memorable backdrop to an already breathtakingly picturesque town.Reminiscent of the French Riviera, the town's center is charming little Vina del Mar Park with its huge stone fountain.

My spouse and I stayed for two nights here as a holiday getaway. The room was comfortable; our main problem was that the shower didn't work (the pipes made a loud sputtering sound and the water temperature varied from cold to scalding). There was no one at the front desk in the morning and they provide a number to call. The person at the other end of that number was extremely rude, told us that he would get in touch with someone else but did not provide any information about how long that would take. Ultimately, someone else (Matthew) called us to learn more about the problem and then arrived

When checking in we were greeted by Robin who was super sweet, funny and helpful! She shared information about the area and gave us dining recommendations.
The room is perfect, the bed super comfortable and our view was one of a kind!

Treated my mom to a room here and I am so pleased I did. The property is beautiful and overlooks the water. Easy to relax here while taking in the smell of sea breeze and watching sailboats pass by. I called the front desk to send a bottle of wine up to my moms room and was so pleasantly surprised to find out Michael (the pinnacle of great service) would personally walk to a nearby gourmet shop to purchase a bottle on my behalf and bring it up to my mothers room. Cant say enough good things about this place. Charming and high caliber of hospitality.

Clean updated rooms at a fair price. Right in downtown Sausalito, this hotel was significantly less expensive than anything else around and the room was great. The room was not large, but it was plenty for the two of us. Our room had everything we needed except a mini fridge, so we just ate all our cheese on day one.

Great pick for our 20th anniversary. Cozy, quant and very clean rooms with stylish French decor. Perfectly located near several cafes, bars and shops made everything within walking distance. The staff was amazingly friendly even giving us a room upgrade saying to us, congratulation on 20 years. 5 stars from beginning to end!!

I recently had to travel from the east coast last minute because my Dad fell and broke 3 ribs. He lives in Sausalito and is almost 98. Needless to say, I was worried about exposing him to possible covid and given his age, the less people in his house except for his caregiver and him, the safer. So I called up and was able to book a room here, less than a 3 minute drive to my Dad's house.

Matthew called to make sure when I would be arriving so he could meet me at the hotel lobby since I would be checking in after 11pm. He also upgraded my room for free, even before he knew the reason I was

Hotel was charming and well maintained. Rooms were clean and cozy. The location was convenient to the ferry terminal and centrally nestled among the shops of Sausalito.
However, the TV was not functional the first 2 nights of our stay. When we phoned the front desk for assistance the operator came to our room to check the TV. When she could not get it to work she became somewhat accusatory that we had not notified the front desk earlier in the day so someone else could take care of it. Her tone left a lot to be desired. We were then given another room just to watch TV in, which was considerate

It's very cute and is conveniently located in walking distance to shops and restaurants. It has all the basic amenities you would need such as towels, soap, and shower caps. The room was very clean, however very small. The bathroom, on the other hand, was quite spacious. It even bad a sunroof. The staff was friendly and informative and I would say overall I enjoyed my stay. My only complaint would be how small the room and entry ways are, but overall very comfortable and cute. Has a very old town vibe. The pictures are after our stay because I forgot to take before photos.

$20 for parking - however there is no parking, I drove around for over an hour looking for parking in the public parking lots. Rooms are the size of a shoebox, and your view is the wall of the building next door. The hotel manager is rude and aggressive. When I kindly suggested that it would be nice if they offered valet parking, the hotel manager stated "If you don't like it you can leave". The hotel next door "Inn by the tide" is beautiful and the staff is friendly and courteous, I recommend you stay there instead.

My girlfriend and I called this hotel looking for a room that had a bathtub since all the pictures shower rooms that only had showers. After confirming with the clerk over the phone which particular room had a bathtub we booked that specific room. This was roughly two weeks in advance. When we checked in we were not given the room we reserved and the clerk that was present said it wasn't mentioned in our reservation notes. We booked the King bed with Park View which was clearly stated as room 209. We we given room 208 as someone was already checked into room 209. When I told the clerk about

Hotel Sausalito has become my go-to hotel when visiting Sausalito. The location of the hotel is absolutely perfect with water views from some rooms.

My favorite part of staying at Hotel Sausalito is falling asleep to the fountain in the courtyard across the street.

Guest get a card which also gives them a free coffee and pastry from the awesome cafe downstairs. Couple this with free newspapers and it's easy to imagine a nice relaxing morning on the water.

There are plenty of benches across the street from the hotel that our you right on the water with jaw-dropping views of San Francisco

I had the worst experience with this hotel. First the front desk guy still in training and giving wrong info to me.The hotel needs to upgrade, the TV is so small, WIFI not working. I never heard of NO AAA Discount rate for the weekends and also charged up front when you checked in. I told me I would pay with another credit card when I checked out. He went ahead and charged to the secured room card, did not even ask me to sign. No hot water either for tea only have coffee and water.

I have stayed here on multiple occasions and I keep coming back if that says anything. It is a quaint little boutique hotel near the water/ferry terminal in Sausalito. The rooms are small but they are just want you need. The hotel has character some might say. It is centrally located to most everything in Sausalito. The staff is friendly and I enjoy myself every time I am here.

Quaint little boutique hotel in the heart of Sausalito with views that overlook the streets, park, and San Francisco Bay. There arent many rooms and they are on the smaller side, but the two of us has plenty of room. Rooms and bathroom look to have been recently redone with modern amenity. Everything was nice and clean, and the staff was friendly and attentive. We opened the windows that let the cool breeze into the room and snuggled under the covers. Lots to do within walking distance, including shopping, sightseeing, people-watching, bike rentals and the ferry. Would recommend to others and would

We took the ferry over from San Francisco for an overnighter in Sausalito before a party planned for later in the day. It was just an unlax get-away to the more laidback ambience this little coastal enclave offers ... no big plans or places to go.

Because we didn't have a car the idea of staying close to the ferry landing was attractive. And frankly there just aren't a lot of hotel options in Sausalito. After considering the rest I ran across Hotel Sausalito last and was pleasantly surprised how affordable it is. I recognize it's not everyone's cup of tea. If you like fancy

Very pleasant hotel with charming little rooms overlooking the ferry terminal. Not cheap, but this hotel is in a premier position overlooking the park and the ferry landing.
Possible downside is that thousands of tourists/pedestrians/cyclists are on your doorstep waiting to board the ferry. On the other hand, this is the thriving hub of the Sausalito tourist area, so if you are not wanting to be in a tourist area, don't stay here.
We found the hotel and the staff very pleasant and accomodating. Only downside was that the "continental breakfast" that we paid for in advance, consisted

Cute b&b style inn along the waterfront. Friendly staff. Historical building near the ferry terminal.

Negatives, no ice in the micro ice machine that is also communal to the hotel. no fridge in room, kinda loud ventilation. No screens for the windows if you wanted to leave them open.
