Came here and asked about the info for corporate leasing and the lady would not give me the info telling me that my company has to send her an email for her to send over the info mind you i am the owner that has several units here and in other states that my company rents out for my employees and she told me they don’t do that, glad i took my business else where and got another unit the same day for my employees

Great staff, The maintenance guy Trey is phenomenal, very thorough and quick to act when you need assistance. I love the area and the utility package they offer it’s extremely convenient and a perfect place to live, the bar is set quite high since this is my first apartment but I don’t plan on leaving anytime soon! Would recommend staying here if it falls within budget.

I just moved in this past weekend, and we all can agree that moving is beyond stressful. Especially when moving all on your own. Though my toilet was broken when I moved in, with the quick help of the maintenance guy Trey, it was rectified the next day. Furthermore, he has been assisting me with bringing in heavy boxes of furniture. I could not be more pleased with my decision with renting here. It might be pricey, but the cost of having good staff and great neighbors is priceless :)

Really odd reviews of this place. I've lived here for over 6 months and don't have many complaints. Only a few.
Let me tell you the best parts of this place, starting with the noise. I cannot express how great the soundproofing is on the concrete walls. I sleep easily every night and don't have to worry about loud neighbors. I've had some grossly awful experiences in other places in W.A. but not here. The indoor hallways and the key fobs to enter buildings makes me feel safer too. They maintain the insides of the buildings fairly well. You can't always predict residents

If I could leave negative stars I would. Lived here for almost 2 years and my husband and I were miserable the entire time. From the people living above us seemingly bowling on a constant to the many steaming piles of surprises hiding in the grass, it was too much. Halls seem to never get cleaned, the elevator constantly smelled like vomit and dog urine, and don’t even get us started on the leasing office. There is soooo much more I wanted to say but all in all, for what we paid, it definitely was overpriced and not worth it. I really wanted to like this place but unfortunately we will never

Well maintained executive style apartments. Great security with FOB access for main entrance to building. Very energy efficient units with ability to control temperature in zones of the apartment. Great staff... friendly, professional and efficient in taking care of your needs. Highly recommend these apartments that are competitively priced for the area.

We are living here short term and have been so happy.. its so quiet !! the office staff and maintenance have been just wonderful any time we needed anything. And the residents in our building always speak and wave. The office is also kind to sometimes offer snacks and bagels etc. Thanks for being a great home away from home for us. You are the best.

You do NOT want to live here! You are better off paying more somewhere else. Here, you are getting what you pay for which is poor living conditions and terrible customer service.

I have been living at 17 South for almost 6 months and I rarely write reviews, but I am really pleased with living here. The application process was simple and straight forward. I rarely have to go into the office, but if I do, I am greeted with professionalism and kindness. I have yet to need any maintenance work, and the grounds are always kept clean. My neighbors and kind and I always feel safe when walking around the community, even at night. The gym has most of the things that you will need, and it is never crowded. The facility wonderful, the staff very efficient and friendly, as well as eager to help. One of the nicest locations in Charleston with many amenities to offer. Very pet friendly, along with a beautiful area that is safe for walking your pet. There are many places in Charleston to rent, but by far this location tops them all. One monthly payment for rent and utilities is very nice until you submit an online payment, get email confirmation of payment, and find out a month later about a problem with your payment. I was in and out of the leasing office and pool area almost daily with no mention of the problem from management. They removed my payment history, amount due, and online payment processing tools from my account in the residential portal going forward and was forced to make monthly rent payments to them with certified check or money order for exact amount due. I've lived here for about a year now and boy has it been a train wreck. The maintenance people here do everything in their power to enter your apartment and sometimes it's without warning. If there is a warning, it'll be for something unnecessary like to check to see if "everyone's toilets flushes" but nobody is complaining about the toilets. They do this all the time and have maintenance peeking in your apartment through the exposed windows as if you're not home but little do they know, you are home. I'm just tired of the amount of privacy that is taken

My favorite things about 17 South when I first moved here were the luxury style and feel to the apartments, the staff and amenity center (I was able to drop my gym membership because the gym here is so great), and the rent that includes all of my utilities (which makes budgeting incredibly simple). I've lived here for about 4 months now and I love it! It is still under construction but they are rapidly working to finish up. Coming from out-of-state we looked at SO many other rentals and this one definitely stood out in quality. When people visit they are always impressed. Even though the complex is new it still feels homey. While every new place experiences a few hiccups at first, they've been helpful to try and address any issue.
