Bardstown Eye Care Center
We are pleased to announce that we have started to see patients again for routine and medical eye care. While we transition to our new normal, we want to make sure that you know what to expect when entering our office. We are taking extra precautions for the safety of our patients and staff, in accordance with CDC and State Guidelines.

We will be working to schedule our established patients first and we will only be taking new patients for emergency visits. If you already have an appointment, you will be contacted about adjusting your scheduled time to fit in with the new guidelines. If you need to pick up glasses or contacts that have been ordered, please call our office to arrange for curbside dispensing.
Services
Dr. Lisa Sloan Woody was born in Hodgenville, Kentucky. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in 1988 after attending the University of Kentucky on a four year scholarship. In addition to her full class load, she held positions as both a microbiology teaching assistant and as an immunology research assistant.
The expanded center is a 4000 square foot state of the art facility with an experienced staff devoted to the comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of the eye health and vision problems of patients of all ages. The new building provides full handicap accessibility and handicapped parking. Slide away exam chairs and specialized equipment allow for the comfortable and complete examination of patients with wheelchairs or other mobility aids.
CrystalEyes Digital Exams - for the most accurate eyeglass prescriptions possible. Digitally Assisted Eyewear Fitting/Measuring Technology - This allows the Doctor to customize your prescription to your specific frame and reading style. So accurate, it allows the Doctor to measure the curvature of your eye and create a digital image of your visual system in minutes.
Our office is specially designed to meet the needs of our youngest patients. Our waiting area features a separate activity room just for them with books, wall mounted activity boards, and a play table and chairs. Our doctors are experienced in the diagnosis and treatment of the vision and eye health problems of children.
People who have lost part of their sight because of an accident, birth defect, or eye disease are said to have low vision. Patients with low vision have difficulty with routine tasks like reading the newspaper, driving, or watching television, even when using their regular glasses or contact lenses.

Scheduled an appt. was told Friday, put it in my calendar as Friday, was also told I'd get a confirmation text. Recieved call this morning stating my appt was today and that I had confirmed it even tho I recieved no text/email/phone call. Plus I was told they aren't even open on Fridays. The optometrist may be good, I don't know, but the front desk needs a serious overhaul.

Dr. Woody gave me a very thorough exam. I had a lot of questions and he took the time to patiently answer and explain each one of my concerns. He clearly cares about his patients. I wish I had come to Bardstown Eye Care sooner.
