Montessori Of Calabasas
Montessori of Calabasas is a community of children, parents, and staff dedicated to following the development of the whole child. While practicing grace and courtesy, the child directs his/her day and has lessons in practical life, sensorial, math, language, science, music, and cultural activities.

We encourage exploration, discovery, independence, and self-expression. Our curriculum follows the precepts of Maria Montessori. We actively educate our students and families about the importance of eating whole foods and snacks. We promote proper and nutritious body fueling. We offer hands on authentic Montessori materials in every class.
Services
Our teachers are carefully selected for their Montessori-based belief that children grow and learn best in a loving and nurturing environment. Their job is to encourage the child's natural curiosity, to provide ample opportunities for exploration and discovery, and to direct the child to develop the skills needed to succeed and experience the thrill of independent accomplishment.
At Montessori of Calabasas, our goal is not just to churn out erudite scholars who may happen to excel academically but are otherwise inefficacious and unhappy. Our goal is to enable our students to develop themselves into young high-minded individuals, individuals armed with the abstract knowledge, thinking skills, character traits and practical life skills that they need to become mature, capable and happy adults.
At our preschool in Calabasas, there are no limits for our preschool children at this age; they have boundless energy and unlimited curiosity. Our classrooms encourage exploration with sensorial materials-objects to touch, hold, move, spin, and smell-and everything is sized to fit the child's hand.
Our beautiful campus is located in the heart of the Calabasas Community. Our classrooms are open and bright. Separate play yards for our older and younger students are situated on over an acre of naturally landscaped tree shaded grounds. The campus is fully fenced. Admission with security key provides additional safety and security for your child.
Montessori of Calabasas too, a beautiful new school in the heart of the Calabasas community, came about because of a strong demand for an intimate place that could truly be called a "children's house". Our school is designed with the child in mind. Our warm and caring staff is committed to making these first years of school joyful and meaningful for your child.

We have three children’s 6, 4 and 3. We pulled our 3yr old daughter out less than a year into the program. There are a number of reasons, very poor communication with parents (regarding anything about your child), very high attrition rate of staff/teachers, all these are concerns but once I saw a staff member publically shame a 2-3year old for soiling their underwear and changing them naked on the floor of the bathroom and forcing them into a diaper as punishment, I could not leave our child there for another day.
I have tried looking up their license and owner information and am finding it

Our infant daughter goes to Montesorri and has since she was 3 months old. We have loved every minute of our experience. The teachers are all wonderful and have such a caring attitude for the children. I highly recommend the school to others!

My son has been attending Montessori of Calabasas for about six months now. He is in the 2 year old program and absolutely loves it. Since attending the school he has improved on both his speaking ability and overall comprehension. When I pick him up after school he does not want to leave and is eager to show me all of the new projects he is working on. I sometimes feel so embarrassed.....he likes school better than home! Matching the experience for my son is the overall cleanliness of the facility and professional behavior of the staff. The director, Donna, does a wonderful job organizing the

Montessori of Calabasas follows the principle of all Montessori schools, which is to put an emphasis on individual learning for every student. Free thinking is encouraged from an early age and from the infant classrooms on up thru first grade. Students may stay from 6:30am to 6pm every night, offering flexible scheduling and after-school care where independent research is encouraged throughout the day. Such complex and advanced skills as simple Spanish are taught each day in an enrichment activity, giving kids a huge head start on what's to come! Students from Montessori have even been proven to

My Son has been going here since he was 3 years old [he's 5 now] & probably the most intelligent & confident child I know. One thing about Montessori schools that I love so much is their willingness to throw tradition aside & really get in there with their students. A lot of parents are intimidated by this style of learning or are so caught up in what's normal that they don't see how beneficial this style of learning really is.

I would not recommend this place. I took my baby to this place after being convinced by the owner that this was the best. My experience, it was such a horrible experience. My baby was left in wet diapers every day, he had a diaper rash, that looked painful. He was always upset and tired all the time. The workers do not care. They have a poor attitude and always blame the parents for everything that goes wrong. they have poor excuses for when you ask questions. There were alot of other issues that I could talk about here but I would be here all day.
Put it this way if you love your child and want

As the parent of older and younger Montessori educated children, I can offer a true review of what I consider to be a quality school. The education at M of C is tailored to the child, so if your child is advanced, they will expose her/him to the next level of academics. The teachers are approachable, professional, and deeply caring. It was after my initial interactions with the owners of this school, some time ago that my wife and I went into Montessori education ourselves. We value the confidence that Montessori instills in children. Teachers are at the core of the education and Calabasas has
