Pulsation Yoga is an all-inclusive yoga studio, focusing on opening the heart, strengthening your body, increasing flexibility, and providing a sense of peace and calm that you can cultivate on your mat to carry off your mat into your day.

Our yoga classes concentrate on alignment through creative sequences woven around classic yoga philosophies to provide an all-encompassing yoga experience. We offer a wide variety of classes at our two yoga studios in Arlington Heights and Lake Zurich, IL, designed to open your mind and body.
Services
You can now get Pulsation Yoga branded merchandise, exclusively sold in our online store - not in studio at this time. Here, you can choose from a variety of colors and styles to suit your specific tastes. At that time, the store will close and all orders will be printed and fulfilled for delivery or pick up at Melon Ink in early November.
At Pulsation Yoga, we offer a variety of class purchases to suit your needs. We offer single drop-ins, class packages and 30-day packages, plus great new student deals and private sessions. Class packages expire one year from purchase date. If you know how often you plan to come into the studio, 30-day packages bring your cost down but they do expire 30 days after purchase, no matter how many are used.
Pulsation Yoga is proud to offer many options for your practice. Whether in-studio or online, with a group or by yourself, check out all the great offerings at Pulsation Yoga. The Pulsation Yoga Arlington Heights yoga studio and the Pulsation Yoga Lake Zurich yoga studio are both open for in-studio classes.
These videos were recorded during "shelter in place" and during live studio classes. While most students have returned to the studio, we are continuing to offer these recorded classes for your at-home practice. Classes have returned to the studio, and we are regularly adding more options to the schedule.
Susan had been practicing yoga for over a decade before receiving her 200 hour yoga teacher training through Pulsation Yoga. Susan's practice originally started as a supplement to her distance running, but over the years she realized she got much more from yoga than simply stretching and strengthening, and it has become her central focus.

I have finally found my yoga “home!” As a person that struggles with social anxiety, I feel so welcome and at peace when I enter Pulsation’s doors. Not only are the instructors very thorough, friendly and helpful, but the other yogis are wonderful too. I love sharing a warm, inviting space, and I always leave feeling rejuvenated and ready to take on the day.

Pulsation is a local and very comfortable studio. The staff is well trained and attentive to any injury or bodily ache consideration if you make them aware. They know your name and classes are small and instructors really are are able to give you the time and attention to guide your practice. Love the variety of classes both day and evening to suite all schedules.

I enjoy my Saturday morning yoga classes! The more advanced class is truly challenging and the basics class encourages options for finding your own level. The staff is kind and supportive.

I have been taking Kara's Yin Yoga class at Pulsation Yoga since it launched in August 2021. I LOVE THIS CLASS and I am so happy I found it! Kara regularly shares her wealth and depth of knowledge from her work as a myofascial therapist. I have learned a lot about how the stretches we do are helping my body. Kara is a gifted teacher and practitioner, and I look forward to my future classes with her!

I found everyone that I communicated with were actively listening,to what were my goals and concerns. Genuine warmth and caring is difficult to fake in the student, teacher relationship. I would recommend Pulsation Yoga to anyone looking for somewhere to begin their journey to finding their way to knowing oneself physically, mentally and spiritually. I've been in public service for 30 years as firefighter/medic and feel that i have a good sense of people and this has served me well in life.

Pulsation Yoga has done a great job of offering live-stream classes and connecting with its community. I love Kat's Wednesday class -- noon-1:15 p.m. -- she methodically and thoughtfully guides you through a progression-- allowing you to be challenged, while respecting each person's unique needs. Classes offered online by the studio have been a great way to maintain a practice and find some escape during these difficult times.
Update August 2021: While many classes have resumed in-person, I've been so happy to continue with the Wednesday lunchtime streaming class. Pulsation is great at leading

This place is excellent! Ali's classes are wonderful. She is very deliberate about her cuing and takes great care to ensure that her students are in alignment while also pushing themselves to grow. She's acutely aware of the mechanics of the human body and can, without even touching you, push you past what you originally thought possible. Cannot recommend highly enough -- go check it out!

I just took another excellent class at this studio. Meagan is wonderful. She added a dharma today about the four elements and how they affect different bodily constitutions. I do not live in the state of Illinois but any time I come back here from Denver to visit my folks I try to get my yoga fix here. I recommend them highly.

I've been taking the restorative class with Amanda on Weds nights at 5:30 at the Arlington Heights studio. Amanda is so welcoming and helpful during the class. The poses are gentle and easy to get into. This is a class I try not to miss, I leave after each class feeling relaxed and gently energized. The studio itself is beautiful, the white curtains and light blue walls have me feeling like I'm floating in a cloud.

I am so happy to have found this studio. All of the instructors I have had here are different but wonderful and they put the time into coming up with classes/sequences to get you out of your head and into your body. They have a great schedule and very convenient locations and everyone is really welcoming.

Love, love, love this yoga studio. Even though the new location is much smaller, it is very serene and cozy. I am a huge fan of Megan's classes. I come in to get a fulfilling workout and Megan never disappoints. The prices are very desirable. I always find street parking in front.

I really like this studio. Sometimes the limited parking drives me crazy!!

I signed up for the intro to yoga class offered on Sundays. It was great, although I wish it went a few classes longer.

I purchased a class package, but have not been able to attend the regularly offered yoga basics classes because of work conflicts and travel conflicts. They are only offered on Monday nights, at noon on Wednesday, and on Saturday morning.

I work out a lot, but I am definitely starting to shift my mindset into believing in the art of yoga to help me be mindful, while working my body in a different

What I love about yoga is that the instructor is usually very encouraging and supportive. I'm used to a comforting atmosphere. One of the first times I went to Jim's hot yoga class he said to me "I can see you're trying your little heart out" since I was struggling after months of not practicing. I don't think anyone has ever made me feel more uncomfortable and insecure in a class. He then proceeded to make comments like, "these are level 2 poses." I took that as him not wanting me to return. It was very awkward.

I did take a class with Stephanie and

I tried the LEVEL 1-2 class on a Sunday at the Lake Zurich location. I chose to leave mid-way because it was not a good fit for me.
Some elements I disliked: Mats arranged in two long rows facing each other across a center aisle with no way to watch the teacher. Actually, the teacher just walked about, reeling off Sanskrit terms. The directions included popping up into a handstand (which no one could do) only to have Jim, the teacher, proceed to demo one to the applause of the adoring students. When we started to attempt inversions against the wall, I left.
I won't say the class

T.G.I.R.W - Thank Goodness it's Restorative Wednesday!

Wednesday night restorative yoga at Pulsation Yoga is excellent. Between the relaxing stretches and Kathy's playful sense of humor, you'll feel restored both physically and mentally after this session.

I look forward to my Wednesday Yoga sessions to help with some chronic back and neck pains. Kathy is experienced in helping people with their various needs.

Jim & Kathy co-own this down to earth yoga studio just a few blocks from the Arlington Heights Metra station. They're always welcoming and friendly when you arrive

I've been coming her intermittently since June 2013.. I started with Yoga 101 and was coming regularly, until I hit the last quarter of the year and my yoga practice went out the window. If you've never done yoga before, I strongly recommend the 101 course because it taught me so much about how to properly align myself in poses and what I should be thinking about while I was in them. This gave me so much confidence to practice at home and to try the other courses.

I started back again in January regularly and it is my oasis on the weekends. It's a very non judgmental place and
