My daughter and I were both seen and are very pleased with DrMcCord's examination. The ladies in the office were extremely friendly and helpful. So grateful that they took the time to help my 15yr old daughter with her 1st pair of contacts.

Great job. Exam was fast and easy. Staff at front desk was kind and helpful in a busy atmosphere. For working people who hate giving up time to see the doc, this keeps me in contacts.

I'm amending my original positive review because recently I've noticed that the services once provided at this location has change for the worst. My son has been a client for over 4 years at this location and each time we get a new pair of glasses for him we are encouraged to purchase an extra warranty for the lenses which makes sense b/c he's a kid. However, Eyetique as recently shifted from handling this service internally to now outsourcing it and in order to get replacements lenses you now have to leave the frames as well. This is troublesome because his prescription changes each time he gets

My daughter and I had to stop at the mall and grab last minute things for her upcoming trip to Florida. While we were there she mentioned that her glasses kept slipping down her nose ( now that I think of it, she is constantly pushing the darn things back up her face). So she asked to stop in and just have them tightened. We walked in and asked the employee behind the desk if he could possibly tighten them. To say this person was just an employee is an
understatement. They noticed that only the nose piece was ever done...not the sides, which were severely bent. Without hesitation, he went and

After some recent eye surgery I was excited to get new glasses, frames and sunglasses too. So Sunday early afternoon I went to Eyetique looking to spend some money.
South Hills mall seemed pretty business as usual,
Then I got to Eyetique. The entrance was blocked by a table and a Do Not Enter until we let you in sign.
No was was in the store. I waited a few minutes before “Hello, hello, anyone in there?”
A guy came out from the back. “Yes ?”
“I’ve come to look at frames and glasses .”
“Do you have an appointment?”
“No
Those were the last words spoken.

I had always heard that Eyetique was expensive so I shied away. But, I think this is a case of "you get what you pay for." I had gone to a lesser known place and got a quote similar to Eyetique's, but the glasses and service at Eyetique were far superior. I went to the Squirrel Hill location on Murray Ave. and had an excellent eye exam by Dr. Lauren Pastucha who used the latest technology and explained everything very clearly. I worked with two different opticians, Natalie and Bailey, who selected frames that suited my face. They were very patient while I deliberated. Bailey even

I would literally give negative stars if possible....I called at 5pm on a Sunday to make sure they were open till 6pm. The guy told me they were and that they would be able to repair my glasses (lost screw) upon arrival. I arrived at the location at exactly 5:40 and they were closed for the evening.... a whole 20 minutes early even after verifying my arrival. I’m blind as a bat and can’t go without my glasses. Thank gosh LensCrafters below them actually stays open until closing time. Might be time to change my eye glass location😑

From start to finish it was a seamless experience. The doctor was thorough and had a tarrific attitude. Kevin graciously helped me get the right glasses for the right price and Nathan quickly and kindly adjusted my frames when I went back. I recommend this location for your next eye exam or any of your ocular needs.

I've been coming here since high school (many years back) and this is the only place that has been able to nail my Rx every time, and I have Keratoconus, so getting away 20/20 without contacts has been a longtime trick. From the start it has been a great experience more than shopping with them and has been my go to from LA, Seoul, Stockholm, or any other place in the world. These guys/gals get it right.
The last optometrist I went to with no glasses asked me "I really want to see the Rx. Who was able to get this?" So, when I need to new glasses it always means a trip back home

For years I have been going to this place for my annual eye exam and occasional purchase of frames and lenses. However my last visit was very disappointed. I had already told the first associate that I'm not looking to purchase frame( even though they are having their annual 40% off sale), they were keep pushing me to buy a frame. I understand they are obligated to do so but it was kind of annoying to repeat myself. But the real kicker was after I agreed to explore the options. This associated basically called my frame CHEAP. I have a pair of Persol. We were trying figure out that based on

Just confirmed that the prescription on my wife's glasses was done incorrectly. The prism was left out. That explains why I spent $400 for glasses she can't wear. Maybe spend some more money on professionals instead of advertising.

Great selection and service!!! I Have not stepped foot in their store in years and I just call up, talk with Maxine where we figure what I need. I live over 1,000 miles away and we do have stores in Houston probably offering the same kind of glasses, but this store offers a great customer experience thus I keep coming back.

I have mixed feelings about the Squirrel Hill location. I had fantastic experiences with it when I first moved to Pittsburgh in 2001 as a lowly intern at UPMC when my glasses snapped in the middle of a rotation with precious few days off and no time to get replacement glasses. Since this place had night hours I walked in bleary-eyed from the hospital and the SqH staff helped me find new frames that would fit my existing lenses and had new glasses made within 48 hours for less than $100. I felt like my business was valued even though I was obviously not a high-spender.

I have had two subsequent

I bought a pair of glasses with wonderful Norman Childs frames over a year ago at the Shadyside location. I love them and had such a great experience that I went to this location for my exam and a new pair of specs.

The doctor is really nice and competent. No complaints there. As usual, decent selection of frames and such- plus, the year-end 40%-off sale makes things a bit more affordable.

My first pair of glasses from this company was terrible and ill fitting. When I wrote a rancid review on here, the owner contacted me and promised to make things right. When I did bring the shoddy first pair of 1000 dollar glasses in, the store manager did everything he could to replace the glasses. Unfortunately he used the same style and manufacturer of the terrible original mistake, which soon proved to be just as shoddy and badly manufactured as the first pair. One phone call and I was once again back in the store, but this time I made sure to pick our a better built pair of thousand dollar

Whoever mentioned the Groupon deal being a scam is absolutely on point. They pretty much don't even let you use it or they restrict it to the point that you can't even get what you want. On top of that, I ordered a pair of prescription sunglasses and they explicitly stated that they would come out as dark as nonprescription sunglasses - NOT THE CASE, they looked like funhouse glasses and we're barely even dark enough to constitute sunglasses. Save your money - go elsewhere.

Seriously I spent $900. and could not see.
I kept returning to Wilkins Twp location and they kept telling me I could see.
The young woman who adjusted the glasses melted part of the lense and part of the frame. Even eye doc not astute enough to see this.
Over a year later and the quality of lenses so bad and always they're smeared. Geez even after replacing the melted glasses I still cannot see.
They have fashionable frames but don't know what they're doing at this location.
Spent $700. on my daughters glasses. Her lenses so smeared all the time she gave up and finally decided to

The doctor (don't remember the name) is rude. She sounds incompetent and impatient and not informative. If you already know your eyes' conditions, then you would be OK. Otherwise, do not expect she would try to find the best for your eyes.

The sales people at the desks are helpful but you get the feeling you would be ripped off anytime.

Location is good. Parking is on the street. One star is for the location.

If you have the $500+ to pay for a pair of glasses then go for it. The sale people accomodate their clients but as soon as you start mentioning something is out of your budget you've lost them.

Btw, the groupon deal is a complete scam because you end up paying at least $400 on top of the groupon.

I stopped by here to find a pair of glasses for Bob, the boyfriend that keeps popping up in my Yelp reviews. Every pair of glasses was so expensive it nearly gave me heart palpitations, but it was OK. We planned to get an idea of how much their glasses were, and what frame types Bob looks best in. Then, armed with information, we hit the internet.

Do yourself a favor and check out Zennioptical.com. No, I'm not affiliated. I just think that if you can buy four pairs of glasses online for the price you'd spend at Eyetique, that seems like the saner way to go. I buy my near-sighted

One star: half a star for how cute & conveniently located the space is, half a star for the doctor, who was actually helpful. Also, you can't give ZERO STARS!

The staff seemed nice, at first. Then the super high-pressure sales technique and guilt trips were rolled out. Then I was told that there is just no way frames that cost under $500 can possibly be as cute as the ones priced over that. Sorry, but I have seen many, many cute frames in the world priced under $500. Unfortunately, they don't carry them here. When I expressed frustration with this, and said that I needed to find
