TLC child Care Center is a community outreach program sponsored by Trinity Lutheran Church. We offer a unique, non-profit Child Care Center for children of the Community, age 0-12. It is a developmentally appropriate program where we believe children learn best through play. We work with families regardless of their financial status to ensure that high quality child care and education is a reality for all in need.
Children are given the opportunity to engage in structured activities that follow children's interests and are given ample time to participate in free exploration of our learning centers. Our teachers support learning by encouraging children to think for themselves, work on peaceful problem solving and express their feelings and ideas in a safe, nurturing environment.

Services
TLC has an excellent full day Kindergarten program with a great reputation. Our licensed teachers provide a learning environment that is fun and challenging. A small class size enables us to differentiate instruction to meet the varied needs of our students as they prepare for first grade.
Our classroom is registered with the Department of Education and our curriculum is aligned with Pennridge School District and PA State standards for Early Learning. We use the Everyday Math program and the Collaborative Classroom literacy curriculum. The structure of our full day program allows for a more relaxed, less hurried school day with more varied experiences.

Every day is a new exciting adventure in Toddler Land! Our toddler staff love what they do and make learning fun. The classroom is warm and cheery and there are many learning areas for the toddlers to explore. There is always singing and dancing in the toddler room. We are also very community oriented and love to spend time outside.
The "Onesie" room is a super fun place where our young toddlers can be themselves in an age-appropriate and stimulating learning environment. Free exploration and active play is nurtured and a good portion of the day is centered around music and movement. The teachers work hard to keep the environment fresh and exciting as they plan various sensory and hands-on activities each day.
Our infant room is cheerful and cozy place to be! We provide a stimulating environment where our little ones can explore with the support of loving and experienced caregivers. Our teachers love spending time playing with the children, reading and singing together. They plan age-appropriate sensory and art activities based on the early learning standards and our weekly themes.
My name is Jeannie Kassa and I joined TLC in 2019 as an infant room assistant. I am a graduate of Penn State University with a Bachelor's in Child and Adolescent Development. I have taught in nursery, preschool and Kindergarten settings for over 20 years. I am a mother of three beautiful girls that are currently attending college and Pennridge High School.

Having attended the center as a child and later returned as an employee I can safely say there is no better place for your children. My wife and I have just enrolled our 3 month old and are already impressed with the level of communication between staff and parents Via their Tadpole app. Couldn't be happier!

This daycare is very inconsiderate to neighbors who live along alley of church entrance. The parents speed up and down the alley. The church plows snow only from in front of they're doors even though they use the entire alley. When the nursery was started , neighbors were assured that nursery clients would not use alley. This church is only worried about making money.

Rosie is the worst director ever. The teachers in the rooms are amazing, but if you want anything done administratively. Forget it.
You are charged for snow days that they are closed, charged for days you have a doctors note for your kid to return and they deny it, they do not give a full reimbursement even when they are told before the week even starts that your child is done. Basically, anyway they can keep your money they will. The director does not care about the families or kids as long as she gets her money.

I've worked here for 11 years...anyone who works here knows that we do it for the children. We are a non-profit establishment and help families by offering scholarships and other financial help. We are passionate about providing a loving atmosphere where children can grow, learn, laugh, and play. Rosi and Colleen are awesome directors who support the staff and are willing to help wherever and however they can. We are all family here.
