The Bucks County Quality Child Care Coalition was established in 2002 through a grant from the state to focus on early care and education issues for children. Prior to this time, there only existed a fragmented system that lacked collaboration, standards, and support for low-income families. QCCC focuses on engaging families, child care programs, educators, school districts and other community partners to educate the public on the importance of quality in child care, early childhood education, and pre-K programs.

By the time a child turns 3 years of age, about 85% of his or her brain's core structure has been formed. Over the past several years, our society has learned that the years from birth to age six are critical for laying a foundation of success for a child's future. The quality of care that children receive during this time period affects their school readiness and success, impacting them for a lifetime.
Quality programs and preschools have standards in all areas including curriculum, teaching, staff, assessments, health and safety, among others. When you enroll your child in a quality program, you can be assured that he or she is playing and learning in the best possible environment.
