Dr. Scott Dixon was born and raised in Sebastopol, California. He attended Sebastopol public schools before receiving his bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from the University of California, Davis. Dr. Scott worked as a research scientist in a dental research lab at UC San Francisco, before attending dental school there.
In our office we use digital x-ray technology. Dental x-rays are essential, preventative, diagnostic tools that provide valuable information not visible during a regular dental exam. Dentists and dental hygienists use this information to safely and accurately detect hidden dental abnormalities and complete an accurate treatment plan.
A comprehensive dental exam will be performed by your dentist at your initial dental visit. Examination of diagnostic x-rays (radiographs): Essential for detection of decay, tumors, cysts, and bone loss. X-rays also help determine tooth and root positions. Oral cancer screening: Check the face, neck, lips, tongue, throat, tissues, and gums for any signs of oral cancer.

It is always nice to go into dr. Dixon's office. Everyone in there is friendly it makes you feel welcome. My problem is I always want to go to sleep when Tracy's doing my teeth. It's a great experience compared to what I had when I grew up I think you will enjoy it as much as you can being in a dentist office.

My mother has been a patient for more than 35 years, first with Dr. Gerald Dixon and now with his son, Dr. Scott Dixon. Dr. Scott Dixon continues the practice with the same skill and integrity as his father and retained the same wonderful staff. He not only excelled in dental school but has also had the advantage of learning from his father in the time they shared the practice. He is quite personable, calm and confident in his method, and an honest practitioner.
