Services
Dr. Jaclyn Garlich is a graduate of the New England College of Optometry. After optometry school, she furthered her training by completing a residency in primary care and ocular disease at the St. Louis Veterans Affairs. She obtained her Fellowship of the American Academy of Optometry in 2011 and has a strong interest in treating dry eye.
There is a $75 non-refundable styling fee and $150 deposit that can be put towards your future frame purchase or refunded if you don't find a frame you love. Once received, our team will curate a frame selection just for you. Once you receive your frames, we will meet online to discuss best fit, style, and prescription lens options.
It all depends on the frame you choose, your lens requirements (progressive vs single vision), your prescription, and if applicable, your insurance. To give you an idea, our frames start at $299 and will increase depending on exclusivity and luxury lines.
We accept EyeMed and VSP vision plans which will discount the price of your eyewear and we can also help you submit paperwork for reimbursement for any other insurance plan that we do not accept.Compared to retail chains like LensCrafters or Warby Parker, you may end up spending a little more here but you will absolutely find something that you really love, that is both well-made and supports an independent vendor.

A patient said to me the other day, "You don't carry any Luxottica frames, right?" I have been practicing since 2010 and can count on one hand how many times someone has asked me this. She is a rare, very well-informed patient. What is Luxottica? Luxottica has gotten some negative press over the past several years for giving the illusion of choice in eyeglass frames when really they manufacture 27 different frame lines.
Annual eye exams are much more than determining a glasses prescription. Having perfect vision doesn't always mean your eyes are healthy and we believe that preventative eye care is essential to prevent vision loss. Our comprehensive eye exams are detailed and thorough and our office is equipped with the latest technology to ensure your eyes are well taken care of.

Dr Galich is friendly, thorough and professional. I love her fun demeanor and she really goes the extra step in evaluating images and connecting the dots with other health data points. The office is sparkling clean and her staff is well coordinated. I highly recommend scheduling an eye exam here. The frames are stylish, and expensive, but service is great.

Great location and service was awesome. Staff are friendly and the place of business is very clean and progressive. They have lots great frames to choose from and somewhat affordable for the designer styles offered. My exam was quick and check out was fast and efficient. Customer service was great. My sons glasses needed adjustments and they took care of it right away. No waiting and no charges for minor adjustments. Great service all around!

Had an appt with Dr. Garlich recently and she's awesome! I'm quite scattered and sometimes random topics/Qs pop-up in my head, and she's able to track and answer them respectively. Compared to my previous eye Dr, Dr. Garlich's definitely way nicer and much more patient.
Also, her assistant is great! I had to take a call right before we had to do the initial eye tests, and she was really nice about it. She was also very patient with the fact that I kept blinking during the eye puff tests. Honestly, I can be such an annoying person, and I love how patient they were!

23 Days for New Frames
It started off well enough. I broke my reading glasses. Based on high ratings here I reached out to Envision. They were very responsive. They said they couldn't replace the broken part but I could buy new (same style) frames if I wanted to. Which was fine by me.
The frames needed to be ordered from Spain and it takes two weeks. Not ideal, since these are my primary reading glasses and I use them more than eight hours a day. But I like them so I went with it.
Since it takes so long to get the frames, I didn't want any mistakes, so I took my old frames to them

I had an extremely positive experience with Dr. Garlich and the staff at Envision! She is very knowledgeable and helped me feel at ease, especially since I hadn't seen an optometrist in a while. She also took the time to answer all of my questions, which I really appreciated, since that is not the case with every provider. Her staff is also very friendly. On top of everything, the office is located in a convenient location in downtown Boston & is very COVID-safe!

It's pretty rare that I write a review, but I felt compelled to after my visit
today because Dr. Garlich is genuinely the nicest doctor I've ever been. I have anxiety / a bit of an irrational fear of the eye doctor in general, but she was so kind and warm and patient. She had me laughing through out my appointment, was super informative and thorough, answered all of my questions, and was just all around wonderful. The office is clean and pretty and the rest of the staff is super friendly. (AND very Covid safe) Highly, highly recommend!

Back for my annual visit, and my first with DR Garlich. She kept up the high level of service I have been accustomed to from this team. This year I had some new concerns, and the doctor listed well and quickly came up with some potential solutions I will be trying in the new year.

Really love Dr. Lister and the staff.
I have glaucoma and I recently moved and wanted to come in for my quarterly testing.
The staff were super great in accommodating me. After I arrived at my appointment time I had almost no wait time, even though they were busy.
Dr. Lister was really great! She talked to me like a human being, she asked good questions, listened carefully to my answers and gave great advice.

I was very disappointed this time by the attitude of one front desk individual, who, because I was 4 minutes late, wanted to cancel my appointment and have me reschedule!
The rest of the staff were extremely apologetic for his behavior, well mannered and kind, and my appointment with Dr. Cruz was a pleasure.
Although they gave me a "discount" of 30 percent off for my new prescription progressive lens frames, I still ended up with s hefty bill for the exam and eyewear - more than $900!
That says it all!

Got my annual exam here so I could order contacts. Receptionists were rude when I got confused upon getting there that my insurance wasn't going to cover the appointment, one woman actually told me, "why don't you go call your Mom and Dad"... good for you lady I've been paying for my health care for years so don't just assume spoiled rich kids come to your place because you charge way too much...

Unfortunately my frame needed a new nose pad to the point that it may not be wearable over my 2 week vacation.
Decided that it had to be fixed immediately so I called Envision Optometrists. The Optician was kind enough to help me immediately. he not only replaced one side but replaced both. Now I can enjoy Boston and Cape Cod without ant worry.

I've been coming here since I moved to Boston, its a great eye doctor. On my most recent visit, Dr. Cruz was very friendly and knowledgable, and was able to provide me with some good recommendations on how I can take care of my eyes going forward.
The other nice thing is the location is great, and when you make an appointment, they get you in there quick, you're not waiting around for 15-30 minutes like some other places. Then when you come out, they are also quick to help you get your contacts or glasses you need.

Envision is not a bad place to go to, if you have a lot of extra money.
Everyone at the office was nice, and my appointment started on time. The location is always downtown near Equinox- if you work around the area, you can easily go in during your lunch break.
I am giving this place 2 stars because everything is super overpriced, and the way I was charged for services was weird.
First I was charged $40 for contact lens fitting. I had brought a copy of my insurance policy with me- the lady saw that my insurance stated I would have to pay "up to $55", so she quickly changed the price

I went to Envision after hearing great things from multiple people and it didn't disappoint. The people were kind, the service was fast and I was in and out in less than 30 minutes.
Very convenient location if you are working in Boston and need to fit in an appointment during your lunch break. This will definitely be where I go for all eye appointments in the future.
