When you hear people talk about how "you can't get good service anymore especially in medicine" need to visit the EyeBar in Boston. Dr. LaMalva and her team are efficient, thorough, and caring. The EyeBar team has an amazing selection and all of the high tech equipment to make sure our eyes are completely safe. This is small town care right in the middle of Boston and you are treated as if someone in her own family were sitting in the chair.

Quite simply a FANTASTIC optometry practice. The staff are very pleasant and the optometrist is extremely nice, patient and was very willing to talk me through everything to help me understand. I never felt rushed and I always felt extremely welcome. Luckily, my insurance is accepted there so I can't comment much on pricing. I did buy some glasses there for very reasonable pricing. I did wish they had a slightly larger collection of frames but I was still able to find what I was looking for. If you are coming here for an eye exam with contact lens fitting, note that this place does not do normal contact lens fitting, only premium so it will cost you more. It cost me $70 after insurance for contact lens fitting, plus a copay for my eye exam.

I have been going to Dr. LaMalva for years and she is the best. So caring, helpful, knowledgeable and just plain nice. The whole experience is pleasant from start to finish and the selection of eyewear is beautiful. Just went back today for an adjustment and her staff was great to me - so fast and efficient. Literally one of the best doctor experiences I have ever had. From making the appointment to checking in and seeing Dr. Yip, I encountered friendliness and competence throughout. Dr. Yip is amazing at what she does-she has the best balance of chair side manner and knowledge. They also have a great selection of frames and such helpful staff to assist in choosing them. I could go on, but instead I will say: do yourself and your eyes a favor and make an appointment here.

I was traveling and forgot to bring contacts. I had such a hard time trying to find anyone who could get me contacts in a short period of time. This place was absolutely wonderful and worked with my eye doctor back in Texas to get contacts ordered and delivered the next day via currier service!!! They even had them labeled and ready to go when I got there. I was soooooo grateful to not have to wear glasses to Provincetown!! I cannot thank everyone enough for how helpful you all were! Saved the rest of my trip too, especially on the rainy days. Who wants foggy glasses while sightseeing?!

I'm out of contact lenses and that means that it's time for another eye exam to make sure the peepers are still in good shape. EyeBar had an appointment at a convenient time and I when I arrived, I was seen right on time.
I believe that my examination was thorough. I really liked the widget that takes a picture of my retina. The optometrist was able to review that in a couple of different contrasts and even zoom in on one spot. Great to know that we have a record there that can be compared when I return next year.

I went...well I tried to come here to get my glasses repaired because they were crooked and needed a adjustment. I was told by my eye doctor (who is located in Randolph) that any eye doc can fix the eye glasses free of charge. Guess not because I was only greeted with a beautiful smile and a "No, do not do that here, if you didn't buy them here." zero stars if they had the option to be honest.

I love this place. I started coming here about two years ago for an eye exam and new glasses. I've been seen by Dr.'s LaMalva and Yip and both are excellent. Equally excellent are Mo, Jackie and Jill. Mo, the optician,is so helpful and patient and does a superb job with the glasses. And, he's got a great eye for picking out frames as do Jackie and Jill. I shouldn't even be writing this review since AI haven't gotten my super strength progressives lenses from Dr. LaMalva but I didn't want to forget about it. If you're looking for great customer service, a thorough exam (along with education) and a gorgeous selection of frames then you need to be at Eye Bar Boston. Dr. LaMalva and her team of professionals take their time to make sure that you are fully informed and taken care of during your optical appointment. I've been going to Dr. LaMalva for the past few years and she always does fantastic work. I've got both contacts and glasses at her office, as well as having standard eye exams. I had never worn daily contacts before but she made sure I was comfortable with them, and I have really loved them since! She is always kind and explains what's going on with your eyes (e.g. why your prescription is changing). Her staff is always friendly and courteous. I always receive a warm welcome, and they did a really great job helping me pick out a pair of frames that I love!

Best place in Boston to come for eye health bar none. Very helpful staff and very conveniently located near trains and walkable from anywhere in downtown Boston. The one thing I recommend is to not drive here yourself unless you have ample time to find parking and then to walk over because you definitely are not going to find parking directly nearby.

Where do I ever start? The staff is super friendly and helpful with any questions you have from booking appointments to eye care. Dr. LaMalva is amazing! She really takes the time to explain everything and also enjoys getting to know you on a personal level. I've been there for a routine eye exam and also an emergency visit which they try and make it the most convenient for you to get in and out. If you are looking for a great optometrist in downtown Boston this is your place. And not to mention they have an awesome selection on eye wear!!!
