Of all the Dover NH hotels, there is perhaps none with more history than The Silver Fountain Inn. The Silver Fountain Inn was created by Susan Chang in 2006 and it is our hope to carry on her legacy in addition to fulfilling our own dreams of providing an elegant yet comfortable place for guests looking for something beyond the typical hotel.
I felt out of place because it's very fancy but hey that's my own fault for only ever wearing graphic tees. The food was delicious and scones! Holy scones! Never had one before, they have sweet ones for deserts and savory ones tgat I got with my summer salad (tasted exactly how you'd expect summer to taste, how did they do that?)

The Silver Fountain Inn is one of those rare gems you have to experience to appreciate. We visited for tea and lunch (not lodging). The owners have carefully mixed grandeur with comfort. The inn was exquisitely decorated for Christmas and we were most fortunate to be able to enjoy a holiday-inspired menu including delicious chestnut soup, frittata, scones with cream and orange curd, tartlets, petit fours, bourbon balls, etc, - all served by a wonderfully accommodating and attentive staff. The menu changes monthly, so we will be back to experience it again. Parking is available on-site.

Visited the Tea Parlor today and had a lovely time! We shared the Merriest Christmas set and all of it was very good! We each tried a different tea (Orange and a variation of Chai) that were both excellent. I particularly liked the mushroom and chestnut soup, the fritatta and cranberry tart. I liked the cozy, old school atmosphere and will absolutely visit again!

Visited with 3 friends for a special tea - the moment u walk in door u feel welcomed and comfortable- everywhere you look the Inn is just beautiful with Victorian decor - we started first with a pot of hot tea over 30 different teas to chose from - I chose Salted Carmel 2nd pot Gingerbread both awesome - lunch started with a cup of soup that tasted like Turkey stuffings and gravy so yummy then Xmas Tree cucumber sandwich, slice of quiche, raspberry and cream cheese tart, next sweet scone with clotted lemon cream then finished with 4 small samples of special dessert - what a lovely afternoon - planning

We hosted a bridal shower in the carriage house this past weekend and we cannot get over how wonderful the entire experience was. They managed to provide excellent meals and service to 30+ guests and everyone could not stop raving about the beautiful decor and delicious food. We absolutely recommend The Silver Fountain Inn for any function!

What a wonderful treat we experience at the Silver Fountain. Not only was the tea excellent, the waitress, Cindy, was such a pleasure!
We were told all about the history of house and got a chance to see some of the rooms. It is an enchanting place and one we will certainly return to in the near future. Thank you, it was such a pleasure to be there.

We went for the Mad Hatter’s Par-Tea today and what a lovely experience we had! The tea and food was delicious and the service was phenomenal. We had two 3 year olds who have very little tea etiquette, and I… never felt unwelcome or out of place like you might elsewhere. In fact, the hosts were very engaging with the girls. And the owner (white rabbit) was so awesome, he brought them special carrots “from his garden”, and pushed them on the swing as we said goodbye. Definitely a memory maker!!!
