Jason is the driving force behind the identity of Visage Eyewear. After 15 years of ownership he has developed a unique understanding of what makes us.us. As our buyer he is unconventional and is not influenced by trends that often turn out to be fleeting, instead focusing on bringing in pieces that are both visually stunning and timeless.
Beyond just checking if you see 20/20, Dr. O'Halloran wants to make sure that your eyes are working as a team and that you can get sustained, comfortable vision. If your eyes do not aim and move together as a team it can cause eye fatigue, strain, and even double vision. Have you had discomfort or dryness with contact lenses?
Quality eyeglasses were historically crafted by jewellers and are still handmade by guild artisans. Having as many as 200 manual processes, a frame's production is a lengthy labor of love. From hand-cutting the facefront, to sanding off rough edges and polishing, soldering, hand-painting and hinge assembly, each frame follows a master recipe: similar to others but unique in itself.
Anne is the artist with an eye for color and detail. Valentin was the studied optician. In 1980 in Toulouse, France their world fused together and this gorgeous line was born. Viewing the line is like walking into a candy shop. Deliciously colored plastics and metals bring to mind glossy hard candy, velvety caramel or an icy popsicle.
This line is what you get when you combine Midwestern sensibility with British wit. Classic, clean lines reinvented with color and a bit of sass when needed. Bevel delivers a minimalist aesthetic that pairs beautifully with a wide array of personal styles. Equally suited to small and large faces. You will wear these glasses, they will not wear you.

This is one place I can go to for an exam that I don't panic. Nice atmosphere, plenty of parking options especially for the Pearl, and laid back but efficient service. I haven't had to wait more than a week for an appointment, and part of that is just me being picky with my schedule. I followed Dr. Clouse here from his previous practice and intend to stick with him for all of my eye care. He's super easy to work with and good at exuding a chill vibe, a welcome experience during an exam! Best part of all, no eye dilations!

I just had my eye appointment with Dr. Steve Clouse and it was so great! I have bad eyesight and have since 4th grade so I've seen my fair share of optometrists. Dr. Clouse is very direct, informative and helpful. I'm lucky that I work in construction and get off early so I was able to see him rather quickly. During my appointment, he would tell me the reasoning behind the questions and tests optometrists ask/do. He explained what I was looking at on my retina photos. And all of this without me asking him to. It's so refreshing to have a Dr. like that, it makes the whole process

Just posted this review to Google but I'm sharing it here, too, for the Yelpers. I was lucky to get a NEXT-DAY appointment as a new patient at Visage yesterday and, of all the eye doctors I've been to for the last 16 years of my vision-impaired life, I feel confident saying Dr. Clouse was the best eye doctor I've ever seen. He was kind, professional, efficient, and most of all - he was wonderfully informative as he explained the purpose of each test he was giving me during the exam, how the machinery he was using would help, and other important things I should know about my eyes

I haven't had new glasses in years, so I reached out to my eye doctor, who recently moved there. Located in the Pearl District, I knew that while it wouldn't be cheap, I'd be stylish and I could see clearly through some really cool glasses.
The girl at the front desk was super helpful and patient, giving me tips and suggestions as to which frame would fit my face the best. It took about to get the order and it came out perfectly! All around great service and I'd use them again.

This place is the real deal in high end eye ware without the pretentious attitude. I have been a customer of Visage for several years and have never once been disappointed. They have a well lit store front with a wide selection of unique and stylish frames to choose from. The staff is friendly and attentive. Cassandra helped me find the perfect frames by listening to my concerns and then aiding in selecting a pair that fit my needs and face. On top of that, they have an in house optometrist to truly make this one stop shopping for all your eye care needs. Overall, a great small business that I

Such an upscale environment!! Their customer service was on point. Cassandra was super professional and knowledgable!! Their products are super classy and durable. You can tell when you try on a pair of their glasses that they're made to last - definitely worth the money. The store was clean and tidy with super attractive displays and tons of options. Thanks Cassandra and Visage!

Three things happened at my appointment.
1. I was told something false about one of my eyes by the doctor.
2. My blood pressure was taken by the doctor during this appointment and because it was elevated the doctor chose not to record it.
3. I felt uncomfortable for the entirety of the appointment with the doctor.

Visage delivers on time as promised in "1" week. I wore my new ic Berlin frames with super light Trivex lens for 1 week now. I am so happy--frames, graphite, ultra light, no screws, no solder, minimalistic frames--all about seeing. I do not feel them pressing on my temples or resting on my nose. Because the frames are minimal I do NOT see "the" frames when I look at an object--as I would see a wide/thick/trendy plastic frame. Be who you were meant to be and just see clearly--go minimal--G0-By Visage to see your options! I see with ic Berlin frames now!

I've been getting glasses from Visage since '10. Excellent stylish product and even better service. I had a pair of Maui prescription sunglasses made that didn't provide good distance focus in one lens. They replaced the lenses at their cost and would have done it again if necessary to make sure I was satisfied with the final product. I've also taken advantage of their 2 year scratch replacement warranty at no cost to me. Their glasses are spendy compared to places like Lenscrafters, etc. but more durable and well designed and very worth it. I will bring my business here as long as they have a

I waited to write this. I got glasses here that never quite felt right. They still feel blurry, about 9 months later. I went back a few times to see if it could be corrected from tests, but the Dr. wasn't able to find a better prescription. I gave it an extra star for some of the frames available, but overall I was not satisfied with my prescription.
TLDR: Not satisfied with prescription yet stuck with "no solution" answer & bill.

I was so lucky to discover Visage! They have a such a wonderful selection of frames that it was hard to pick just one! Meghan was very helpful and really took time with me and gave me great advise. She were willing to hold several frames for me for a couple of days so that I could bring in my "style consultants"! I might just get a second style for sunglasses! I will definitely recommend Visage to family and friends!

Maybe there was a time when Visage had some problems with some customers (2008, different ownership/management), I don't know. I went there for the first time 2 weeks ago. I've not had new glasses in a long time and was nervous (I'm a guy and I never know what looks good and this is more stressful than clothes shopping as it's really final).
Anyway, I walked in and Cassandra helped me thru the whole process. She listened carefully to what I was saying about what I wanted to express with them and what I needed them for (reading, or computer, or sports, ...).

I went in a few years ago. While Dr. Clouse was lovely, I found that the staff wasn't too helpful. Maybe because I came in during the middle of finals, dressed shabbily, and they assumed I wasn't going to be able to afford their glasses?
Sure, that might be projection, but that's what it felt like. I saw the receptionist drop everything for the "usual" person we would see in the Pearl District. But the lowly college student was ignored. It was pretty.
The staff also treated me poorly when I mentioned that this was the first time I'd ever been to the optometrist and was pretty unhelpful with picking

I have to admit I do not wear glasses, but this beautiful, spacious store always caught my eye. Since my dad mentioned he wanted a certain type of designer glasses awhile back, I thought, what better time than the holidays to stroll in!?! Since they had a great assortment, I didn't have a clue where to start so I was greeted by Brandy who introduced me to some great options. She was very helpful without the usual pressure of sales. I was extremely impressed by her knowledge and was even more impressed that she was nurturing (as opposed to being snobby) about my complete lack of knowledge

This place is awful. Here my hellish tale. I saw Dr. Clouse, and got a prescription. For 6 months I struggled with the glasses distributed. I finally called, and they admitted that the perscription for the right and left lenses had been swapped, because the receptionist, Brandy, wrote the wrong symbol down on the order to the lens-maker. For six months I have been suffering.

Normally I like to support local businesses, but this time I decided against it. Yes, Visage has interesting frames -- but they're certainly not hard to find elsewhere. Let me explain:
I've had my eye on a set of Orgreen frames for the past couple of weeks. They were priced at $540 at Visage, which is pretty steep. But the frames *were* pretty sexy. Then, a few days ago I found the same frames on www.contactsandspecs.com for only $499, including shipping. So, being a bargain hunter I am (ironic, I know) I asked a salesrep at Visage if I could get a discount on frames, considering they

Visage eyewear is the place to go for frames no one else will have. It's also the place for frames no one else would dare wear. Eclectic, colorful styles abound in this spacious shop in the Pearl, and it's easy to get distracted by all the fun and downright wacky offerings. It can be hard to find unique frames that are well designed and unique, but Visage has so many options you may spend three hours trying on increasingly wild options.
