WVC&R is proud to service all of the single-family homes, businesses and multi-family complexes in the West Valley Community. In 2014, WVC&R made enhancements to our fleet of trucks and our collection services to help our customers in the West Valley Community become greener and cleaner. These trucks are powered by CNG, a cleaner burning alternative fuel made entirely in the U.S., providing our community with cleaner air.
The trucks also have a larger collection capacity to reduce the amount of trips to the landfill and recycling center. Both mileage and emissions will be reduced in comparison to the previous fleet of trucks. WVC&R also uses state-of-the-art automated split body side loader trucks that enable the collection of two separate materials, residential garbage and green waste, in a single pass.

Services
West Valley Collection & Recycling delivers all of the recyclables we collect from the Cities of Campbell, Monte Sereno, Saratoga and the Town of Los Gatos to a Material Recovery Facility (MRF) located in San Jose. The technology at the state of the art MRF efficiently sorts your mixed recyclable materials; this reduces the amount of sorting you have to do.
To enroll as a new user, please set up a new profile. You will need your account number and an invoice number, which can be found on your recent bill. NO EXTRA CHARGE to make online payments. If you are instructed to pay a surcharge to make an online payment, you are on the wrong website. It has come to our attention that third party payment companies charge WVC&R customers a fee to ensure thepayment is sent to avoid any late fees or interest.
WVC&R offers extra residential services such as bulky-item collection, extra garbage pick-up, debris box rentals, an annual clean-up program and more! Find out more on what WVC&R can do for you! All items must fit loosely inside the recyclables container with the lid closed. Extra cardboard can be cut down to size (2'x3') to fit in your cart, bundled and set next to your recycling cart. Large items that do not fit in the recyclables container can be collected as bulky items, please call Customer Service at 408.283.9250 to schedule a pick-up appointment.

Our waste collection technicians come through our neighborhood every Monday and take care of our refuse. With rare exception, they are here on Monday whether it is a holiday or not. They are efficient, they manipulate around vehicles and never damage them, and they ensure that even poorly packed trash is picked up.
Our modest drivers will simply say that it's just their job. But what most don't know is that they are also trained in crime prevention. They are a keen set of eyes that travel through our neighborhood every week during the dark hours and have an opportunity to witness nefarious activities

I have called this business for over a decade. Many times the person on the phone was unresponsive, uninformed and just plain rude. Well I went to give a huge shout out to Lisa who is changing things. She is in customer service. Bright, polite and wonderful. If everyone at this company was like Lisa, there would be nothing but four and five star reviews.

This review is specifically for our Recycling driver, Edward. Trash day is a big deal in our (toddler) household. We have been waving at trash trucks from the porch since we could walk! Our truck drivers have always waved and honked. However, Edward really upped the bar when one day he stopped and got out and properly introduced himself to my son and gave him a toy recycle truck to play with on the "non-trash days". Needless to say, this remains one of his favorite toys to this day. THANK YOU for being an awesome human, Edward! We so appreciate you!

Horrible customer service. WVM picks and chooses of which emails they reply to via their website. I’ve emailed them three times in three weeks—no reply. New Driver does not leave recycle bin can where you left it. His music from the cab is unreasonably loud at 06:30, he’s clearly in a hurry while driving, and judging by the noise, the truck must have some mechanical issues. Unprofessional service. I’ll see if the CPUC can assist.

They didn't pick up my trash Tiesday morning. Called late in the day, after 10 mimutes, most of it on hold, was told they would pick up by Thursday at the latest. Called Thuraday 4 PM, was told the matter had been flagged to a supervisor, and pickup would be Friday. Friday, no pickup by 4 PM. Called again.Rep said the driver had the ticket. Trash not picked up. It's a 3 day weekend with temps to be in the high 90's and my trash is sitting in front of the house, quite odiferous.
To update the review, I have had no problem with trash collection since the initial post, so I see it as an aberration

Can't say I'm impressed. Was told I would have my bins removed and replaced with the larger size (which I'm paying for) on Tuesday 7/27/21. It is now Friday 7/30/21. Bins have still not been replaced. I have spoked to customer service twice since 7/27 and have been assured it was going to happen the following day each time... Not sure what the issue is.

The driver with some attitude opens the cans and mess the garbage around on the alley in our neighborhood. If there is something that doesn't fit the protocols , he could just kindly avoid collecting and not to mess the garbage around on the alley. please look at the picture all the items well organized inside the cans and now it is on the street both for us and the neighbors.

The men who come through, on Wednesday’s for collection, are always courteous and helpful. We have NEVER had any problems with them. My husband had a stroke several years ago and needed help placing a few things into the can. The driver was so kind and offered his assistance. He was quick and efficient. Most of all, so caring to do this for my husband. We appreciate the service they bring to us each week. Thank you for having such a good crew of drivers for your company. ⭐️⭐️

One of the best customer services I have experienced in a long time. Vanessa was a joy to work with in figuring out my needs for a big project. She explained everything to me in detail, offered help for other items and was cheerful through out ALL my questions. I cannot compliment her enough and even said I wanted to tell her boss what a wonderful job she was doing.
