Services
As your eye doctor in West Des Moines, Urban Eyecare and Eyewear is proud to offer a range of services for patients of all ages. Whether you're seeking treatment for glaucoma, corrective lenses for driving or treatment for an eye infection, we can help. Below are the many services that we can provide to our patients in West Des Moines.
Vision problems can be frustrating, scary, and dangerous. If you suffer from blurry vision, eye pain, headaches, flashes, floating spots, or any sudden changes in your vision, you might have an eye disorder that can be treated with corrective lenses. Most eye issues are caused due to errors in the light's journey through your cornea and lens to your retina.
Chronic dry eyes is a relatively common condition that impacts the lives of millions of people, including those who wear contact lenses. For most, dry eyes can be so severe that they make it difficult or very uncomfortable for those wearing contacts. However, at Urban Eyecare and Eyewear in West Des Moines, IA, we offer several contact lenses for patients with dry eyes.
Vision problems caused by myopia, farsightedness, astigmatism, and early stage cataracts can be corrected with prescription eyeglasses or contact lenses. If you've never used either before, you may have questions about which to choose. These FAQs from Urban Eyecare in West Des Moines explain more about prescription eyewear to help you make wise choices about your vision.
Eye diseases and disorders can cause a wide range of problems, from mild irritation to total blindness. Fortunately, even irreversible chronic eye conditions can often be brought under control -- and Urban Eyecare & Eyewear is your first line of defense. Our optometrist in West Des Moines, Dr. Lisa Lansink, can protect your eyes against many common (and potentially sight-stealing) conditions.

Amazing COVID protocol— The entire practice was cleaned between patients. The front office team was kind and knowledgeable and the doctor was great! Everyone took their time and explained each detail of the appointment. For someone who has seen an eye doctor every year for 20 years, this place was top notch!
