East Suburban Animal Hospital is the perfect place to take your pets. The entire staff, from the vets, technicians, assistants to the receptionist are all friendly, compassionate and dedicated. Your pets will receive the best care and time. No rushing through appointments. East Suburban Animal Hospital is located in Murrysville, PA.
The absolute best aspect of ESAH is quite simply, the PEOPLE who work there. They are supremely competent professionals who provide outstanding service and care for our cats, but more than that, they are some of the most kind-hearted, caring, and compassionate human beings I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with.
I have been going to ESAH since 2002 and every time I bring one of my pets in, I am overwhelmed by the care my girls have received. The staff is WONDERFUL, knowledgeable, compassionate and caring. The newly hired vets and vet techs seem to fit right in to ESAH's culture of excellence. Everyone seems committed to staying on top of recent developments in research, technology and service.
After 45 years of providing after hours care for your pets there have been big strides in the standard of care in Veterinary Medicine. One of which is emergency medicine. Due to this our on-call service has evolved over time. While we have always been proud to provide on call service, most calls we receive are pets that need care at a staffed 24/7 hospital.
If your pet requires immediate care and you are unable to pay at that time, please make arrangements with us before hand so that your pet can get the care that it needs. Unfortunately, expense is often a factor in pet care. Sometimes laboratory tests or other procedures are needed to make a specific diagnosis.

Disappointed with the way the technicians handled my senior cat with arthritis. Handled him roughly, jabbed him with needles multiple times, made negative comments about him, put a covering over his face, and had him all upset. He was calm in the past until we started taking him here. We were patients for over a year and still had a long wait time to get an appointment even after his condition deteriorated.

I am extremely satisfied with the care of East Suburban Animal Hospital. The care you provided on Friday (14 May) saved my cat's life. You allowed my cat to be seen earlier than my appt time based on my concern, you diagnosed a potential bladder obstruction and made the critical recommendation to seek emergency treatment. I will be forever grateful....our Lil Cat is still with us.

All of the staff were incredibly helpful, kind and friendly. Dr. Schweingruber has done surgery on my dog twice and is fantastic! Alexa was so sweet, compassionate and just so great explaining everything and answering all my questions. Her and her coworkers took such great care of my boy. They truly deserve to be thanked for the care they show our fur babies! Everyone is truly skilled and professional.

I can not begin to say enough good things about the wonderful care these amazing people have given our Zeus! They took us in when all hope for our boy was quickly dwindling. The compassion they should us and our big boy was beyond amazing! Still have a ways to go with recovery but because of these amazing people we at least have some hope again.

Karen was a complete JOY to deal with when I called to make my very first appointment and in person. I am a new patient after being at the same vet for 20+ years. She was just wonderful. I needed a sooner appointment due to severe diarrhea that my dog had, she explained that they were completely booked but if someone canceled, she’d call but to… please bring a stool sample now. I did and she was so excited to call me that someone had canceled, so I took the appointment! Dr Kelly was super nice as were the 2 techs that helped. ESAH has been part of our family for many years. The doctors and staff have taken care of my dog Jax and loved him like their own. I have always appreciated their knowledge, skill, and caring, not only for my baby Jax, but for me as well. I am so thankful for all of the doctors and staff who were present and stayed with Jax, myself, and Ranae,… during one of the most difficult times of my life....saying goodbye to Jax as he crossed the rainbow bridge today. It was beautiful having our extended family there with us, and I know Jax loved having you all there too. You are a very special group
