I love Sam! She listened and gave excellent feedback to the shorter hairstyle I wanted to achieve. I'm so glad I found a gem! She's a sweetheart and so is her little puppers! This salon made me feel welcomed even before I stepped foot in it and that says A LOT about a business. I can't wait to go back for my trims and my other hair needs. I'm so glad they are local and I don't have to venture too far.

I am an 18 year old girl that went to mizu to get my root hair touched up as it was turning orange. I was wearing a big baggy sweater and sweatpants I do not know if the owner saw money in me or something but she said fixing my hair would cost a lot. I asked like $300 but she said it would cost much much more than that. I asked again how much. SHE SAID $1000!!!! That is a crazy amount. Never going their again. I simply wanted a root touch up. Ridiculous!!!!

I tried Mizu for the first time yesterday for a haircut. Sam was my stylist and she was terrific! I haven't had a hair cut since February 2020 and was really looking forward to getting my hair cut and styled. We had a good conversation/consultation about what I was looking for. Sam was a good listener and gave good suggestions. I'm very happy with the haircut! I hope to see Sam again.

This place is the best in Half Moon Bay! Both my husband and I see Tyler for cuts (he's kind enough to schedule them together) at the end of busy work days or on weekends. He's accommodating, kind, fun to talk to, and can tame my weird wavy/curls! He's honestly made me feel so confident about wearing my hair down and natural. Tyler listens to your hair care needs and concerns and I couldn't be more grateful!

I came in for the first time to get my lashes done. The staff was really friendly, and the salon dogs were super cute:) Sam did an amazing job on my lashes, even though I felt like I couldn't keep still the entire time. She was also really accommodating to my schedule which I appreciated. I already booked my next appointment with her. Thanks Sam!

I come here to have my eyelashes done by Jessica. The salon itself is super cute, they have changed the layout a few times in the last few months. Its always cute and always clean. There is a resident small dog, super cute and very chill. Jessica does a good job on my eyelashes, very satisfied with my lashes. I am planning to get my hair done soon too. I recommend having Jessica do your eyelash extensions.

I made an appointment cold, for a style on my wedding day. The front desk rearranged appointments to accommodate my schedule. The girls were great and my hair was styled exactly as I wanted it. And....it stayed all day, even with the wind. A bit pricey for a curl and style of short hair, but totally worth it! A big thank you to the staff!!

What a fun salon. When the day is brought down for many saddening reasons, this crew just turned me around and made me look good too! I really needed the attention to my roots and they tracked it a San awesome team. I highly recommend going and checking it out for yourself! It was a great last minute opportunity too!

I'm a guy and usually go to a barber or one of those chop shops in the strip mall. My wife went to MZ and said she liked the people and saw other guys there. I decided to give it a try and felt comfortable going there. Best cut I've had in years. I see Alex and she consistently does a great job. Nice people, really great atmosphere, excellent and consistent cut. Guys won't feel out of place here.

I have been Mizu now for 5 plus years for haircuts and now coloring. They totally updated my look and I get a ton of compliments. Amy does my haircut and coloring and she is awesome. The vibe is also great as everyone is extremely friendly. By far the best place on the coast to get professional styling!

Let me start by saying that I've never felt strongly enough to write a Yelp review, but after being left in this hair drying chair for 30 minutes today while "my" hairdresser cut AND styled somebody else's hair, I am livid. Not only am I BACK in this salon because my hairdresser didn't give me what I wanted the first time (AND overcharged me for that-- who knew getting my freakin less than shoulder length bob highlighted could cost $200), but I have stomped my feet to get the attention of any one of the 4 people somehow floating around the cash register to no avail. One would never think of finding a high-end salon in such a small community, but here it is...Mizu. The salon is loaded with talent: hair cutters, colorists,and stylists abound. They offer full services in waxing, facials and massage. They even have an eyelash specialist. This is a one-stop shop that's hard to beat when it comes to professionalism. Oh, yes, they are even dog-friendly. As for prices for the services they offer, they are within reasonable range. Best of all...you're gonna love your hair.
