Our funeral establishment is the oldest in Old Forge. Our commitment to excellence and history of service is what distinguishes us from our counterparts. From generation to generation, we have dedicated our lives to properly and honestly serving those who call upon us in their most desperate time of need.
We urge you to notice the difference in our firm. Realize the attention to detail, sincerity of compassion, honesty, knowledge, and genuine care that we impart to everyone who entrusts a loved one to our care. You will quickly notice that we direct full attention to your loved one and your family from the first time of contact until long after a funeral is complete.

Services
Our funeral home was founded in 1941 by Victor M. Ferri, a funeral director completely dedicated to serving the families of the surrounding area with nothing shy of complete dignity, honor, attention to detail, and affordability. He was the son of Italian-born immigrants, Frank and Adele (Lena) Sorbelli Ferri, and upon graduation form Old Forge High School, decided to attend mortuary science college.
Staff members of Victor M. Ferri Funeral Home are caring and experienced professionals who understand that each family is unique and has personal requests and traditions. These requests and traditions are of utmost importance to the funeral director. Robert Gillette, grandson to Victor M. Ferri, has been a licensed funeral director since 1999.
Our facility is located in a quiet residential neighborhood one block off of heavily traveled Main St., Old Forge. The location on the corner of Fallon and Alicia streets allows for plenty of side-street parking on safe and lightly traveled roads. In the summer of 2008 we began the project of constructing our parking lot adjacent to our funeral home with separate areas of entry and exit.
Most of us plan ahead in life. We plan for our wedding, our children's education, family vacations, and other significant expected life events. We also plan for the unexpected events of life by purchasing home, auto and medical insurance. Understanding the benefits of pre-planning has prompted many to take the step to plan their own arrangements.
Many who have undergone the emotional strain of arranging a funeral within hours of losing a loved one have made the choice to pre-plan their own funeral. Doing so lifts the burden from their loved ones by relieving decision-making pressure at a time of grief and emotional stress. Funeral arrangements are a deeply personal choice.
