Mehad, who is also known as "Mimi" to her patients, family, and friends, was born and raised in a suburb outside of Detroit, Michigan. Mimi completed the Hygiene Program at Wayne County Community College in 2010 and continued her education at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene.

I really liked Dr. Kassam and wanted to continue having her as my dentist, but the business management is poor. I had multiple issues over the 1.5 years that I was a patient. It's difficult to schedule appointments at times, or once you schedule an appointment, they call you to change it to a time that's more convenient for them without taking your schedule into account. When the pandemic started, they instituted a $15 COVID surcharge, which is understandable, but they didn't provide me with any notice of the charge when I confirmed the appointment or before I paid; they just charged

As usual my good experience starts at the front desk. The young ladies are always friendly and professional.
I saw my hygienist today. What I especially appreciate is that she takes the time to really make sure I have a thorough cleaning. She also takes the time to let me know what area in my mouth may need extra attention.

This is the best dentist I’ve been to in my adult life. They are super friendly, prompt, use technologies I’ve never seen elsewhere, and are extremely thorough. Great COVID protocols. Their texting communication is very helpful and they even sent me an estimated cost of my upcoming appointment so I would be prepared. I’ve referred a couple of family members here. Fantastic!

I have so much praise for Mint Dental. I have a fear of the dentist which has escalated over time through a series of poor treatments from practices elsewhere. Earlier in the year, I had a dental emergency over a weekend and sent out frantic emails/left voicemails for about a dozen dental practices across the area. Dr Kassam replied very quickly and assured me that they would be able to take care of me. My entire family of 5 has had excellent care at Mint dental for the past 5 years. My children love visiting Dr. Kassam. We have been attending this practice since they were 18 months old and the whole staff is so warm, kind and welcoming. They let my kids choose a show to watch so they hardly even notice when she is cleaning their teeth. My older daughter got her sealants a few months ago and Dr. Kassam was so great with her, she explained everything to her and even helped her take deep breaths. My husband and I have both had procedures here and had great experiences. Would give 6 stars if I Could

Wow. Mint called yesterday to reschedule me AGAIN. The receptionist said "looks like you scheduled your next cleaning seven months after your last one instead of six!" (as if I had anything to do with adding that extra month) and then the only alternative they offered was an appointment two days before Christmas.
I'll be requesting my medical records and switching dentists. If you're super flexible with your scheduling and this office is convenient, Mint is probably fine. But if you've got a busy work schedule you will want to look elsewhere.

The best dentist in DC! Dr Kassam is wonderful! Not only is she super smart/knowledgeable (teaches at Howard University so she knows all the latest treatments options available), she is also a very empathetic /kind person, easy to talk with, puts patients first and advocates for what is best for her patients. She is thorough but doesn't push extra/unnecessary treatment plans. And her staff is fabulous. I can’t say enough good things about her- I highly recommend!

Very professional staff, friendly, and considerate. I feel cared for and they explain things well. They give great advice and assist in any way they can. Ever since the first visit I have felt like it is the best dentist I have had (and I've had a lot of dentists!). Would recommend to anyone. They also allow you to select your music which is a nice touch!

So, I think we can all agree that going to the dentist is the worst, right? There is no way to make getting your teeth scraped with a vibrating metal hook a "5 star" experience.
That being said, I think Mint Dental merits a 5 star review. Scheduling and billing and parking is easy to navigate, they are doing an amazing job with COVID protocols, but - more than anything else - Dr. Kassam is a rockstar. She is incredibly helpful in that she lays out the pros and cons of different options so that you have the information that you need to make the decision that's right for you. And

I highly recommend Dr. Bradshaw for cosmetic dentistry, crowns, and veneers. I had to get my 6 front crowns reconstructed after a previous dentist had left them far less than perfect and the cement was showing through at the root which was disheartening after the time and money I put into them. At first I was nervous about investing in getting my crowns redone again and didn't know where to go but Dr. Bradshaw eased my nerves, had excellent bedside manner, expressed he loves doing this kind of work so I could tell his heart was in it, and my crowns came out immaculate! I would definitely recommend Mint Dental. I found out about this place from my former professor. It was a great choice for me. The place is a great dentistry. But the place does have some room for improvements. I'll speak on both the pros and the cons.
Pros:
1.) The place is BLACK OWNED. I love that. I love supporting a Black owned business that is great quality.
2.) The Dentist. My dentist (Eric Bradshaw) is a Howard grad like me and overall a good guy. I consider him an honest man and a very competent dentist. I trust him. And it's very important that I TRUST my dentist and Doctors

Is this a dentist office or a modeling agency? Every dentist, receptionist, tech, janitor, etc is beauty and brains. My mouth is so happy to be in the capable hands of this office. I am happy to have found the Northeast DC gem. They have been so flexible to accommodate my schedule. I get to rock out to my own playlist through the speakers in my room. Check out technology plus hygiene. Lol

I came across this facility after doing tons of research on dentists in the DMV area. Being from out of town, I was looking for a quality dentist that I could establish long term care with. Yet, unfortunately, this facility failed to meet adequate standards of care and professionalism.
In my initial appointment with dr. Bradshaw I addressed my migraine pain which he determined was caused by teeth that needed root canals.
Two root canals and several follow up appointments later, I am still dealing with excruciating pain and migraines that keep me up at night regardless of pain meds.

Let me preface this review by saying that after a 6 year bout with braces that left my teeth damaged and discolored (but straight!), I developed a pretty big insecurity around my teeth. My initial consultation went better than expected. This is a very well managed dental practice. Dr. Bradshaw was extremely thorough in his examination and explained everything very clearly, from the digital x-rays and photographs to the treatment plan. I didn't feel rushed. The practice is very inviting. I didn't feel as if I was being coached into unnecessary treatment. In fact, my treatment plan was prioritized to address those things that needed to be taken care of immediately and those that could be put off to a later date.
