Dr. Soni grew up in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania and moved to New York for College. She graduated with a B.A. in Economics from Barnard College and received her DDS from Columbia University's College of Dental Medicine. She then pursued her passion for pediatric dentistry and completed a two-year pediatric dental residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University.

Our first visit to this wonderful cosy practice was excellent. Denise received us warmly. Hardly waited before I was whisked away by Amanda, the Hygienist. Amanda was impressive. She listened and did an excellent job doing the ‘first visit’ checks abd X-rays etc. My visit continued with Dr. Gaur. What a delightful experience!! Dr Gaur was also a fantastic listener. Since I had quite a few issues, he was very reassuring and allayed my fears. Thank you all. I look forward to a long relationship with your practice.

I cannot say enough amazing things about this practice. My entire family has been going there for 5 years and we have always been happy but today they went above and beyond. They got me in same day after regular hours for an emergency so I could be seen for pain but didn’t have to cancel my own patients. Dr Gaur (and all staff) is absolutely amazing and I appreciate and value his expertise!!

My eight year old has been a patient of Dr. Soni for the past 5 years. She is always smiling!! She's patient, gentle, personable and thorough! She explains everything to my daughter before she does anything and always takes time to see if I have any questions. My daughter absolutely adores her and looks forward to her 6 month check ups! Very gentle with their patients, children & adults. Staff was very kind and courteous. Office is very clean. This review was unknowingly written by my 6yo son, while standing in front of the mirror before bedtime, after having his front baby tooth removed by the wonderful, Dr. Soni..."I can't believe that didn't hurt at all! I am so impressed with this practice. The office staff is helpful and kind and Dr Soni is amazing with my 4 year old. She is so patient and really takes her time to explain things and be thorough. Scheduling appointments is super easy and we haven't waited long to be seen either of the 2 times we have been there. I was hesitant to choose a dentist from the list my insurance company provided without a personal recommendation but we are so happy and will definitely continue to use Dix Hills Family Dentistry.

This place has truly gone over and beyond for me. My tooth suddenly came out while chewing gum and I was on my way to a family reunion meeting my boyfriends family for the first time. I called this as it was one of the only dentists open on a Saturday afternoon. They took me right in and fixed my problem for such a low price knowing I was a student without insurance. They were happy to schedule me with a follow up and made me laugh throughout my entire procedure. Truly amazing people that love doing this job. If I can give them 10 stars I would!!!

I can say that coming from the Bronx makes it worth to come see Dr. Gaur. After not seeing a dentist for about 12 years I was traumatized to see a dentist because I have always been afraid. A friend of mine recommended me to Dr. Gaur. I gave a try and he is awesome. He makes you feel relaxed and comfortable. This is my second time coming to the dentist and I am definitely referring people to him because he is an excellent. Thank you Dr. Gaur for making my teeth pearly whites.
