My family was from a low-middle class Italian neighborhood in Chicago. Neither parent had finished college. But I got a good education and after graduating high school in 1983 I got a job working for an optometrist. After doing church volunteer work in Brazil for a few years, I got a job working for an ophthalmologist while I put myself through college.
Vanessa is our main receptionist. She will always greet you with a smile. She is genuine, sweet, and adds a genial quality to our office. Vanessa is a go-getter and is always eager to help. She loves working with our patients and enjoys getting to be the first person the patients come in contact with.
Dr. Quaranta has been in eye care since 1983 and a doctor since 1996. He has over 20 years of clinical experience practicing in a multi-specialty practice with ophthalmology surgeons and has been managing his own private practice since 2008. Dr. Quaranta has years of eye care experience.
Therefore, they have the skills, knowledge, and experience to some of the most difficult problems and managing diabetic retinopathy, cataracts, macular degeneration, and refractive surgery.Dr. Quaranta is passionate about staying up to date with and having access to the latest eye care treatments and advancements.

We are located on Pecos just East of Cooper Rd, 1/2 mile north of the San Tan Freeway (202). We are in the front of the professional complex between Brighton Dentistry and Cornerstone Church Offices. Parking is directly in front of the office. Handicap ramps are located on the east side of the building.

So disappointed in the service. If you question anything, it is taken personally by staff and they meet you with disdain (2nd time now). My family and I won't be going back. Make sure you ask what insurance covers and is applied to prior to having the actual appointment so you don't have surprises. I would also shop around for contacts and glasses.....Doctor is nice, which received the only star given.

My husband had his first visit to Dr. Quaranta whom I had chosen to use years ago. As hesitant as hubby was to go to any doctor, he actually really liked the professional staff from the doctor to the front desk. He liked how Dr. Q communicated clearly to him. He will be on my hubby's YES LIST.

The lab Sonoran Desert Eye Care uses is the only real issue I have. The lab does not stand behind their products. I have a lens that the lamination of the lens has separated just a couple of months passed the first year of use and they will not replace it. I was given two options given by the staff, come in for an eye exam and get new glasses or do nothing…I elected to go elsewhere. I would suggest you do the same…

Upon having a drastic change in my eye sight, it was determined that I could no longer put off cataract surgery. Dr. Kian and his staff were very professional throughout the appointments scheduled before, during, and after the surgery. They explained in detail what the procedures were, answering any questions I had, and went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and that all my needs were met. So many times, offices schedule the appointments too close together; this office was one of the few in which there was not any delay time. I highly recommend Dr. Kian and the Sonora Desert Eye Center

Highly recommended! This eye center was all around fantastic from the friendly staff to the very patient optician I dealt with. I'm excited to have found this place!
When I first walked into Sonoran Desert Eye Center I was greeted by a friendly staff member who was smiling and happy. She handed me a clipboard with a bunch of forms to fill out, which I completed and handed to a different lady at the front desk who was also super friendly. Shortly after that I was greeted by Dr. Quaranta, who was extremely nice.

I was very impressed with the services I received at Sonoran Desert Eye Center. The doctors are very caring and knowledgeable. They gave the most thorough eye exam I have ever had. They have special equipment that really evaluates the health of your eyes. The staff were very helpful and caring. They have a huge selection of quality eyeware. They handled our insurance paperwork without any problems. I would highly recommend them.

I don't usually leave reviews but I had my exam recently and decided in the spirit of Christmas...
I have been going to this eye Dr. for many years now and can't believe there might be some bad reviews. this place is awesome! The staff has always been courteous and kind and willing to help me with all my needs. I have gotten several pairs of glasses there, and they are always willing to try to meet my budget. They have ALOT of frames to choose from. The gals that help in the optical always spend a lot of time helping pick the right frame for my face shape. They also helped explain my insurance
