I received a notification that a picture of mine I posted was selected as to show how great this place was. Funny thing? The picture I found online of what I wanted my hair to look like was selected. NOT the hackjob I received at the salon which took a year for my hair to grow out! I cried for a month. You can see in the picture she cut jagged edges and and didn't know how to cut the style I chose. The picture on the right of horrible jagged edges was the real cut! I removed the first picture so they don't lure people in..

What this salon lacks in flashiness it certainly makes up for in the customer satisfaction. Noreen truly seems dedicated to providing his service, whether it being coming in just to cut your hair or not overcharging for a great cut.
In all fairness, I have not experienced other salons in the area, but I honestly have had no other reason to try other salons after going to Noreen. A great hair cut for an even better price. This is absolutely a word of mouth establishment, and I hope this review will continue in the practice of spreading the word of great value for great results.

I absolutely love Noreen and her sense of color and styling cut. I've been coming to her for years.
Most people who complain here on yelp are (looking for a miracle) first timers, who come to Noreen for a correction from another salon. Anytime someone's hair needs to be corrected Noreen does the best she can with what she has to work with. It does take time and several visits to correct another stylists bad cut or color job. People need to be patient, something that is lacking in today's world.

Noreen is AMAZING at cleaning up the ends of your hair but still keeping the length. I love my new long layers! She originally did highlights for me before summer but we decided to cover them with low-lights sense fall is approaching, couldn't be happier! The salon is very clean and the stylists working there are all so sweet! Noreen also gave my little sister he first professional hair cut (picture #3) she is so in love with it! There was a whole new level of confidence that went with the cut. We Noreen!

I really wanted to like this place. I wanted to like it so much that I waited a month to write this review in case I changed my mind or thought maybe I would like the haircut later on. There are several major cons that the salon should improve upon:
Con #1: I waited 40 minutes to start my appointment. My appointment was at 2pm. I arrived at 1:50pm and wasn't seen until about 2:40pm. The stylist did not apologize for this either. General manners should be a given at any establishment.
Con #2. My hair color. I got a partial highlight and the stylist only highlighted the crown of my head and

One of 5 worst haircuts in my life. I did show her 3 pictures of hair cut I wanted, she looked at them and said nothing. I was very clear with Noreen that my hair likes razor, doesn't do well with scissors, and I asked for simply trim. She uses scissors and clippers- she keeps cutting, and cutting, with clippers. At some point she showed me what she did with back on my head, it was not pretty. Yet she told me that my hair will look great in 2 months. Really, Noreen? I wanted my haircut to look great that day.

Anita ROCKS! I have bounced around to different salons for most of my adult life, never finding one that really left me with the "wow" factor, until I found Marbella and Anita. Her price is competitive and she always takes her time to ensure I leave with exactly what I wanted when I walked in. My most recent visit I decided while in the chair that I wanted to change things up a bit, and she made an impromptu shift mid cut to accommodate my request for a "short" haircut- it ended up being the best haircut I've EVER had, and I have received non stop compliments every day

Mel is my stylist here and she is awesome. She fit me in for a last minute appointment which I so appreciated since my hair was not looking very good!
She always picks the right color for me and I'm never disappointed. She gave me a beautiful cut to go along with my color. On top of her professional and knowledgeable styling skills, she is a doll and super fun to hang out with while I'm getting beautified . She goes the extra mile to make sure my hair is looking great. She really cares!

I got the groupon for haircut+deep conditioning+highlights - this was my first time at the salon & with Melissa. Overall lovvved what she did with my hair :-)

Expected more from the deep conditioning - it is just a conditioner.
Expected the color to show more - this is mostly since no bleach was used on my super dark hair. So the highlights seen only in sunlight at the right angle. This was a disappointment especially considering the time & care Mel took in applying it.

I had a haircut today with my favorite stylist Melissa "Mel" Torres at her new salon, Marbella in Los Gatos. First impression - what a beautiful salon! Mel is wonderful as ever and I was so happy to find her after she left her last salon. Marbella is just lovely, the stations are beautiful, there's lots of natural light and a great little patio out front. One thing that struck me is all of the stylists were super friendly and appeared to have great rapport with each other - to me, that is the sign of a great business. I highly recommend Mel, she listens to what you want and she delivers

I just recently had my hair done by Anita Anvari and it turned out stunning! I came to her with a vision and suggestions and she brought it to life so effortlessly. She made me feel so comfortable, and listened intently to everything I had to say and my hair turned out fantastic! I made an appointment with this place to get eye lash extensions. I drove from Santa Cruz to make it to my scheduled appointment at 8 a.m. I showed up and no one was there. So I waited for 20 mins thinking maybe they got caught in traffic. I am a pretty easy going person so no big deal... Well I waited and no one showed up, so I got in my car and went to the gas station. Super skeptical about people who touch my hair. Walking in the salon I felt nothing but positive vibes. Anita really listens to you and what you want done. The haircut was great but the hair color turned out to be a nightmare. I asked for a burgundy red but instead got a plum red wine color. After a month in, my roots are purple but the rest of my hair is red/brown. Sorry hated the way it turned out, not coming back here after all
