If you wear or want contacts, you need a contact lens fitting in addition to a comprehensive eye exam. Your eye doctor will perform additional testing during a contact lens exam to evaluate your vision with contacts. Additional testing includes measurement of eye curvature, tear quality, etc. With the results of those tests, your eye doctor can provide a contact lens prescription that is the correct fit for your eyes.
You may wonder whether your child has a vision problem or when you should schedule their first eye exam. At 6 months infants should have their first eye examination if their eyes don't appear aligned and clear. Throughout infancy and toddler age their eyes should appear straight and clear with no eye rubbing or discharge and visual tasking capability.

I always thought that I had good vision, well, times goes fast and I noticed a small change in my vision; that was the reason I decided to set up an appointment with Dr Aaron. I was nervous at the beginning since I had never had an eye exam before, but Dr Aaron took the time to explain every step of the process and made things easier so I could feel comfortable. The team at All Eyes on Me is the best. I grew up in the neighborhood and was back to help my folks with some appointments and turns out my dad was having trouble with his prescription. He has glasses through both Kaiser, since he's on my moms insurance, and has his own insurance so I took him to All Eyes on Me as well.
There is no comparison...the experience at All Eyes on Me was 1,000x better. First of all Dr Thornton and Helen were able to find time even though they were all booked up. They knew I was only there for a short time and I was driving my father around.

This place is just a treat all-around. Dr. Thornton is such a pleasant, professional, relatable person that he makes each visit a joy. His experience and depth of knowledge really shine through with each interaction. Atop this, his office staff are incredibly nice, which is just the icing on the cake. This was my first visit to All Eyes On Me. I had such a great experience. Helen and Sameerah helped me find the perfect pair of glasses. Helen pulled at least 25 pairs of glasses down for me to try on. I apologized for doing that, as I knew, that they had to disinfect every pair that I touched. They were so sweet and told me not to worry about it. They made me feel so welcomed. We all wore masks and stayed safe. On the way out, I met Dr Thornton, who was so kind, welcoming and funny! I'm definitely getting all my glasses from AEOM.

Dr. Thornton is excellent. I appreciated his comprehensive evaluation today along with the explanations and illustrations as we went. The visit was smooth, and I really felt welcomed by his staff (who's names I didn't catch...rude of me). One of the ladies asked to see me in the glasses I picked out and kindly gave me her opinion. Such a great experience! Dr. Thornton was super friendly, energetic, & overall a great person to be around. He was very engaging during my appointment & made sure that everything was clean, safe, & comfortable. Each station was sanitized prior to its use & there are precautions in place to ensure that everything is COVID safe. The staff members were nice in that that helped me pick out frames and gave me their honest opinions, explained what my insurance covered, gave price breakdowns, & were overall helpful.

I've been coming here for many years...dare I say a decade...maybe longer. Dr.Thornton and his staff are the best. It's a small office and they are great with scheduling. I've never had to wait more than a few minutes to see the doctor, and he is very thorough and I never feel rushed. He's very personable and makes you feel comfortable immediately. When I first started wearing contacts I was not comfortable with them. I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Thornton and his staff. Everyone was friendly and efficient, even while taking appropriate COVID precautions. Dr. Thornton's exam was thorough, and feel quite reasonably priced (a plus since I don't have vision coverage). I was provided a number of prescriptions, which the staff explained to me very clearly. They have a nice selection of frames, but I never got the feeling they were trying to push me into making purchases from them. Highly recommended!

What an amazing visit. Dr. Thornton did a thorough eye exam and helped me with a prescription for new glasses. Dr. Thornton has been our family optometrist since 1998, maybe earlier. His lovely front office staff have always been patient, kind and so easy to work with. This neighborhood gem must be protected at all costs. Pricing has always been fair and they accept most insurances. They offer the latest trends in eyewear and a variety of contacts.

I suspected my 6 year old son needed an eye exam. I took him to All Eyes on Me (RIP Tupac) and we had the best experience I could have ever imagined. Dr Thorton was like a freaking eye wizard and my son who gets nervous about nearly everything, was actually HAVING FUN - during an eye exam! Let me repeat, my anxious son thoroughly enjoyed being examined. Some people perform their work at such a high level and are born to excel at their profession. Dr. T is one of those people. Aaron is a true professional, enthusiastic about his craft, and so spot on with his prescription and delivery of services. Went here for an NROTC Medical Exam. Very helpful, efficient, and charismatic staff. I had to reschedule my appointment just hours before I needed to and they were very accommodating.

I think it's the latter. It was recommended to me by a friend for an eye exam. After the exam, one of the employees tried to sell men glasses. I don't know if you've ever had your eyes dilated. Not the right time to look at stuff, especially if you have the potential of parting with $300. And if like me you have no sense of fashion, you could get divorced on grounds of embarrassing your wife by coming out looking like a fat Steve Urkel from Family Matters. So I told them I'd come back with

This is a great office - friendly and helpful people, even in a boutique-y setting. Dr. Thornton talks to me like I'm an intelligent adult. I never buy glasses at the doctor's office because the pressure is too high, but this was the opposite: they put no pressure on me, they offered to write down the prescription for another place, their selection was small-ish, AND I found the best glasses there. More than once. Amazing.

I came to Dr. Thornton with an uncommon request. I'm looking to restore my vision through building my body awareness and daily exercises of my visual system. He didn't pass any judgements about my unconventional goal and I really appreciated that. He took great care in completing my exam and his staff was kind and helpful. I know it's not good for his business to help me work my way out of glasses and contacts, so I appreciate his service all the more. My goal is going to take a while, and I'm grateful to have Dr. Thornton's support along the way.
