Critical: Punctuality, Quality
Had my car for almost a year , I drove the car into shop, 11 months later i was getting it Towed to my house.. they blew my engine .. not the right oil levels ..had my EFi system hooked up wrong , He stop answering phone, and put black bags over windows so you wouldn’t know when he’s at the shop..Horrible service , very unprofessional

The first few times going to Ulises was great. he is very easy to talk to and is a nice guy. i'm updating my review from 5 stars to 2 stars due to the following reasons:
i had him install new brakes and rotors on my 2011 corvette grand sport. he was supposed to order the exact same ones that came with the car. he ordered from the dealership. yet even though they were supposedly the same exact ones i had for 8 years, after a month they squealed when brakeing and the rotors already began to rust. clearly not the same equipment that had been on the car with no issues for 8 years. so he ended

I had this shop install Willwood disk brakes, rear roll bar and Holley Sniper fuel injection system on my ole school ride. I brought my own high quality parts. For some reason this shop screwed up the fuel injection and brake installations, and I had to take my car to another shop to fix their stupidity. For the brakes they pinched the rear brake line while installing the rear roll bar and could not figure out the master cylinder failure because the car put out less vacuum after my cam when built by a real mechanic. They switched my high end parr's for lower quality parts and tried to keep

The gentlemen at TX8 saved me in a bind, and for that I'm grateful. I'd been having engine temp issues all the way on my drive from San Diego to Portland and was now half way back home. I started my day in Berkeley ready to drive south, and saw that my fix to adjust the coolant hose was not only no longer working, but was beyond my power. And I needed to get on the road. I drove by this place for many years and always saw old schools sitting out front, Montes, Chevelle's etc. I got a foxbody recently and needed some work done so I decided to head over to TX8 auto. I was greeted by Ulysses, the owner, very professional and he gave me a great price. So far I've worked twice with TX8 auto and I will continue to do so. If Ulysses and his team for whatever reason can't get something done, they know someone who can. Great and honest work from this establishment.

These guys are a total rip off. Totally unacceptable. My fiance brought our car in a few months ago to fix an oil leak. We got the car back, and the leak was not fixed. We brought it back. Got it "fixed" again. The thing still leaks.
We then started to have transmission problems. My fiance brought our car back to this place ( I don't know why) and they said, oh it's the solenoid valve, and charged us $500.

I have a Mitsubishi Outlander and waited too long to replace the timing belt. Bonehead move!!
TX8 Auto Care helped me out with a quick turn around. Ulices and Louie were super clear on what my car was going to need. They didn't BS me and try to sell me on unnecessary replacements. They were straight forward with the costs associated with this type of work and left me feeling confident in their work.
It's been almost 3 months since they repaired my Outlander and it's running as good as ever.
I definitely recommend TX8 to anyone who needs auto repair. I'll be bringing my cars

I messaged to get a quote and I was very specific on the car and the needs. I asked to please get a quote through messenger so I could compare shop. I got two one sentence responses both times. They replied "Bring it in to the shop". That's the opposite of customer service. Needless to say I won't be bringing it in.

The adage "Nothing is free" certainly did not apply today on this first visit. I stopped by to get an estimate to get a front headlamp bulb replaced. Phil checked it out, replaced the bulb & when I asked "How much?", he smiled & said "Next time!"

Today was my first time at TX8, and they've earned both my TRUST and my auto repair business from here on! My check engine light came on over the weekend, and Ulises (owner of TX8) ran a diagnostic to find half a dozen different repair codes. He could have easily gotten me for multiple repairs, but he was HONEST, and was able to fix most the issues by topping off fluids, tightening loose hoses, and some light engine cleaning. All but one code was eliminated with $0 cost. I HIGHLY recommend TX8.

When to TX8 because I had a check engine light on. I drove right in with zero wait time. Talked to the owner and he said he could do a diagnostic check on it and it would take about 20 minutes. About 15 minutes later he was finished and explained to me and showed me what the problem was. He gave me a very reasonable quote and brought it in the first thing in the following morning. It only took about 21/2 hours to get my car back. I was very satisfied with everything. From the customer service to the finished work. The waiting room is big and has comfortable chairs. I will be definitely be bringing
