Margaret Hallisey is a licensed practitioner of Chinese Medicine. She received her Masters in Acupuncture from the Academy for Five Element Acupuncture in 2004, with an additional certification in Chinese Herbal Studies.
As an acupuncturist, I evaluate each person's state of health from her/his/their complaints and appearance, and by reading the six energy pulses on each wrist. I have rigorously trained to detect subtle qualities in the pulses. Points along the meridians are used to balance energy flow. With needles and moxa, energy is brought where it is needed and dispersed from blocked and congested areas.

Services
During the initial visit, I will ask you about your personal history, medical history, family, and social life. Many seemingly irrelevant details are an important part of each person's current state of health. The talking is followed by a non-invasive Chinese physical exam. This visit will last approximately two hours.
I am a Five-Element acupuncturist and I found myself in need of treatment. When an acupuncturist needs acupuncture the process of finding a practitioner can be difficult because we tend to look at things with a somewhat critical/clinical eye and we can be quite picky. I loved my treatments with Margaret.
I am currently available in my Brooklyn location only once a month, for maintenance treatments. Please call for details. Please check with your insurance provider. If you have out-of-network acupuncture coverage, I can give you the proper form to submit for reimbursement. I do not accept any insurance directly.
