Services
This session includes a full intake and acupuncture treatment as well as evaluation for herbs. Plan for an hour and a half. This return includes acupuncture as well as associated modalities like moxibustion, cupping and gua sha along with evaluation for herbs if appropriate. Return visits last about an hour.
For your first visit, it is best to wear loose comfortable clothing that can be rolled above the knees and elbows. Also avoid coming to clinic on an empty stomach - try to have a little something to eat at least an hour or two before arrival. Although you can return to normal activity after the appointment, try to avoid strenuous activity or anything that might exacerbate your condition.
Some insurance plans cover acupuncture and it is best to first check with your carrier about acupuncture benefits for your particular plan. I am an in-network provider for CDPHP, Blue Cross Blue Shield (except for Blue Shield of Northeast New York including the FEP plan), Aetna, United Healthcare, the NYSHIP Empire Plan, and the VA, and can provide an insurance friendly receipt (called a "superbill") for out of network plans.

Andrea is by far the BEST acupuncturist I have ever been treated by. And I have been treated by a few. I would say approximately 30 or so. All from around the world. From Bali to Barcelona. When I was diagnosed with a form of PTSD that western medicine. Had no idea how to treat.
I would only recommend she add one technique to her tool kit. The heart valve. For those of us who are suffering heart break. I learned of this treatment in Maui. And cried like a baby when all the heartbreak I had been repressing surfaced.
