My pc randomly decided not to post so I brought it in for a diagnosis. The issue could have been a myriad of things so I expected it to take some time but they were able to have it taken apart, inspected, repaired and diagnosed all within 24hours. The price was very fair and they even activated my windows license for a very reasonable price. Overall I'm happy with the work and time that was put into repairing my rig and will recommend them to friends and family.

Very friendly. Good communication, except for one thing. I paid $1000 dollars for a new GPU, and ended up receiving a GTX 1650, which has an MSRP of less than $200 dollars. Even with the GPU price spike I could have found a far stronger GPU for cheaper myself. It is my fault for not asking, and not being suspicious when I was never actually told the name of the GPU I would be receiving. Even so, I didn't expect to be overcharged by over 500%. They did rearrange my PC components though, so that was nice. If you plan on replacing parts here I would make sure to ask upfront what you're specifically

My laptop was compromised by a hacker that wanted $500 to remove the password he put on my computer. Since I was able to close my bank accounts before he took “all my money” as he threatened, he destroyed my files instead. I immediately contacted The Computer Place, because Rand had done work for me before. My computer was such a mess - Rand spent many hours getting it “clean” and working again. We were having SO many problems with our computer in our church Sanctuary. I realize your options for this type of service are limited but absolutely do NOT go here. The service is completely unprofessional and the owner does not take any responsibility for their actions. Not only does he overcharge for his services, but he also adds other items to your receipt and then holds your computer hostage if you do not pay them.
He went out of his way to purchase the most expensive version of windows and add it to my bill. He did not ask me. He did not get my approval. He just did so and tried to pretend like it was my fault.

My PC crashed and brought my photography business to a halt. I called the computer place and thoroughly tested my machine and fixed it properly. I told them all the issues I’d encountered in addition to the crash.
They tested every component and not only fixed my computer but it now handles video editing software such as davinci resolve noticeably faster and smoother. This performance improvement alone is important to my business.

My computer died suddenly one night and i was left to a life of boredom and nothingness. All that changed when I called The Computer Place. He diagnosed my pc and turns out it was totaled. He whipped me up a new hot rod in no time and it wouldve been insanely quick had the motherboard not been shipped from the distributor with a malfunction! Now im back in action!

Very impressed with the speedy service from Rand on my PC's issue! He diagnosed and addressed the issue's root cause and had the computer back to me within 24 hours, and all with excellent communication throughout AND at a great price, considering I got a better GPU out of the deal than I had previously. Let me preface this by stating that I took my business to The Computer Place initially because of the reviews and history of bad service from another local repair shop. “Hind site is 20/20” because now looking back, the good reviews seem fake and around the same dates as one another. I purchased a replacement cover and hinge cover for my laptop… and brought it with me. I was initially advised by Rand Burkey that he would be able to replace it for $50 in a couple of hours.
