Riviera House

First time trying this place. Not a fan, though I will try it once more.

Pros: location, layout, and staff. The staff is great.

Cons: food and drink

I ordered a $16 signature cocktail...pineapple and jalapeño something. It was OK. The pic is exactly how the drink came out. 5.5oz of liquid...about 1.5 being alcohol.

Truffle fries were $11 or so. Steak cut. The garlic and parsley were good. The truffle oil they used was more aromatic than flavorful. It was probably a 95/5 or 90/10 mix.

The best part was the kids' scrambled eggs and bacon.

I'll try this place once more to see

I love this place. Staff is nice and friendly, specially Daly. Wow the Mai Thais are to die for also the linguini Del Mare is delicious, celebrate my moms bday and everyone loves it. I love to come here. Love the music and the atmosphere also the restaurant is always clean. Give this place a try, you won't be disappointed.

My husband and I wanted to like this restaurant so bad but unfortunately it's horrible. I ordered the double cheeseburger and the meat was repulsive. My husband ordered the chicken sandwich and his chicken was dry it out chewy and also repulsive. When our server (Samantha P) came by I informed her that I did not like the burger at all due to the poor quality of meat. She then asked me if I wanted something else, and then I said no. I said no because there's nothing on the menu that I would want to try after eating a burger. When we ask for the check we notice of the burger was still on the bill

What a cool place for our birthday! Great location with good drinks! Ahi nachos were fantastic! Oysters on the half shell were tasty. We enjoyed flat iron steak, herbed salmon, Caesar salad & chicken fajitas. We'll come back again, you betcha!

Still the worst restaurant in the village

We have tried this place 4 times. We have seen a rat run through the restaurant. We have seen the manager completely ignore us and we have had food that was dried out and just not prepared well. Riviera House we so want to like you but we just cannot recommend this place

OMG! I've been here twice and I'm a "lifer" now. Their brunch is DELECTABLE. I think I could die happy if I ate their balsamic Brussel sprouts and TRUFFLE FRIES every day. The service was so welcoming and friendly. This 5 stars on the beach...
Does life get any better?!

Took my family here to have a celebratory birthday brunch. They have both indoor and outdoor dining and staff wear masks (just a heads up). We parked behind the restaurant in the public parking area that wasn't very far and we were seated immediately.
I have to say that this was the best experience I have received at a restaurant since the pandemic started. We had water immediately served to us. We received drinks promptly and our food was patiently taken. There was seven of us. One a child and another special needs. Most people would not understand our family member but she did. All of

Finally tried this restaurant for the first time! Parked on the street in the meter parking. Restaurant is right on the corner of S Catalina Ave and Avenida Del Norte.

Great ambiance, love how the restaurant is decorated. I made a reservation easily on the OpenTable app, they had a lot of different times to choose from.

Staff was amazing and very helpful. We were sat immediately and after the water came we put in two appetizers, the ahi poke nachos and the chowder tots. The appetizers came out so quickly! Both were so good! Poke was fresh and chowder tots were amazing too.

We finally made it to Riviera House in South Redondo after countless bike rides past it over the past year. While we used to frequent the location when it was under a different name, it was our first time trying Riviera House's menu.

First impressions: They did such a great job decorating the place and I let out a physical sigh of relief when I saw there is now a FULL bar (old restaurant in this location was only beer & wine). The indoor/outdoor vibe of the building has always been one of our favorite parts as it really does feel like you're hanging out on a familiar balcony.

Always yummy! Highly recommend the Cobb Salad + double Smash burger. We usually get Brussels sprouts and calamari from the appetizers. The sea bass is super yummy ...

GM Mark has this place running like clockwork when he's there with fast service. There's also a waitress with a wavy ponytail + tattoos who is AMAZING, fast and attentive ... Love when we get her!!

My family and I had an amazing experience for Father's Day 2021. Dalia was very attentive, kind, and helpful with selecting drinks, starters, and entrees. We had the Old Cuban...who would have thought a mojito with champagne would be so good and refreshing!!! Overall I highly recommend this place.

Firstly, the service here is great. The host was a very nice gentleman and our waiter, Neil, was super friendly and helpful. From other small interactions with other crew members, I assume the rest of the staff is equally enjoyable.

Three stars because the food was pretty underwhelming. For appetizers, we got the Thai calamari and brussels sprouts. It was "Thai" because it came with a sauce that was labeled as honey sriracha but it didn't taste much like sriracha. The sauce was good! We kept it to dip fries in, but not too sure what it was. It had a strong flavor, sweet and spicy

Staff were super friendly and this is a open and airy environment. I loved the vibe.
The food was really good and the only weak point was the house cocktails. They were okay, but for the price...they could have been better (and I'm talking about the flavors...not the strength...the amount of alcohol was fine). This was mid-day on a Thursday (so not very busy)...and it took a while to get our drinks.
Again...two minor knocks....but still a solid 4 stars and we'll go back.

The place I wanted to go for Mother's Day is all booked up. So we just went Riviera House for Mother's Day. They made a special cocktail for me. All food is great. We will come back for sure!

I was looking for a restaurant to eat for dinner after hiking near Palos Verdes. I saw the 4 1/2 star rating and thought it was a good place to try. Unfortunately, the high rating doesn't equate to my experience and was quite disappointed from food, price, and service.

Food is really a hit or miss. Crab cakes were one of the worst I've had. It tasted like it was prepackaged frozen and just reheated, like the ones you get at Costco. Crabs were not fresh and I can barely taste much since the cake was filled with mostly bread batter. Cost $18 and totally not worth the price.

It’s been so nice enjoying the newly opened restaurants here in LA County. I drove by Riviera House a couple times, and decided I had to give it a try.
Heads up, parking is a little bit of a pain, but there is meter’d parking nearby!
I ordered a Mai Tai to start. The drink was strong, and absolutely delicious. 🍹 I really miss restaurant-style salmon, so I ordered from their Family Menu (you can get individual sized portions) and I am so thankful I did. I had the salmon cooked extra well-done, and it had a beautiful crunch! 🐟

My visit to Riviera House was good.

Look, the pandemic sucks and reviewing dining establishments that are trying to survive isn't really fair. Social distancing, mask wearing, hand sanitizing, funky table set-ups, patrons being losers by not cooperating...it ain't easy.

Riviera House handled it all pretty well.

I stopped in on a weekend with my wife and daughter looking for drinks and appetizers - we got 'em, and they were good!

Honestly, when this Covid-19 pandemic is over, I'll return and give RH a fair assessment.

Fantastic food, great menu selection. Seafood menu that is well priced and really well thought out. The selection is simple and makes for a quality meal.
The interior space is nicely renovated, which fits the menu well. Undersea theme, with fish-scale wall, underwater mural, rose-gold throughout and a patio that is the best in the Riviera.
Nice selection of drinks, from good beers to great spirits for their selection of mixed drinks. Wine selection that complements the restaurant.
Stop by for the crab cakes, which are meaty and not your minced crab so you don't know what your getting. The Ahi
