Our story began in 1987 when our family made the decision to share their love of food, family, and community with the world. In 1971, they immigrated to the United States with the hopes of creating a better life for our family.

What began as a passion to introduce great tasting food from our homeland to friends and neighbors coupled with the vision of sharing Peruvian food with the world led Rosa and Salomon to the creation and birth of El Pollo Inka in Lawndale, California in 1987.Peruvian food is one part Inkan and one part Spanish with a sprinkle of African, Chinese, and Italian influences.

I go to El Pollo Inka pretty often and this place has the worst service ever. I had to wait like 20 minutes to order when there were only 3 other tables. The server would just ignore all the other tables except one table. I see another table asking for assistance but she doesn’t even glance at them. Once we were seated, we told them if we could order because we always know our order because we are regulars to this chain. They were like yeah and didn’t show up for 20 minutes with the most of the restaurant empty.
Yeah never coming back plus the prices are higher than other El Pollo Inka. That

Get the Lomo with steak. I had the chicken, wife had the steak. I have no clue how they marinate or season their beef but it is unreal. Good, quick service, friendly employees and even though it gives off east LA taco shop vibes, the food is phenomenal and done right. Ill drive an hour to eat that loco. So insanely happy my girl introduced me to this spot tonight. Amazing.

Not the nicest people, but it could have been my energy. Loved the food though. Ceviche was great, and the seasoning on the chicken was out of this world.

I got the Saltado de Tofu. It doesn't look like much, but it's SO GOOD! French fries, onion, cilantro, tomatoes, tofu, and garlic rice. Side of semi-spicy guacasalsa. So many flavors, so delicious!
(Don't forget to ask for no chicken soup on the side for vegans)

Great food and festive atmosphere. We came into get food to go and they had live music and every one was enjoying the sounds. The food is nothing short of what you love about Peruvian cuisine, spices, flavor and tender meats. With many options for meat, seafood and veggie it’s a great lunch or dinner spot in the area. Having only two meals here I know I will enjoy many more when I go back. Definitely visit on the weekend nights for the festive music!
