I was here for 6 weeks. I came with an infection in my toe and I left with 10 toes. My A1C was 8.2 when I entered and I left with a 7.1.
I was hooked up to an iv much of the time to combat the infection. The OT and PT were excellent about making sure I got my time in . They had to work around the IV. The nurses that cared for my wound were great. They taught me things about diabetic wounds. They did not mind questions. I was pretty scared for a while and they were reassuring. The head nurse, the NP, and the doctor all checked in and asked how I was doing..The CNA s were very helpful. If something

I've visited twice, seems very clean, no odors, and they do group activities.
The outside was decorated in Fall and Halloween theme. I was very surprised that some residents helped with the set-up. Nicely done!

I've been visiting my uncle at Brookside and although the place is a little outdated the care he's getting is outstanding from the staff. If you've never worked in this field it's extremely stressful and challenging. He loves the staff because they care about him and treat him with dignity. Hats off to the staff for doing the best they can for everyone.
