I recently had my first ever house inspection with Daven from HouseScan Inspections. It went great, he really put me at ease since this was my first every house inspection and first time home buying experience I was pretty intimidated by the whole process. Tyler Jones did our 11 month home inspection. He asked us what our concerns then proceeded to check them right away and double check it again as he go through the inspection. He would show us the parts of the house that needed maintenance and would explain to us what causes it and even gave recommendations on how to repair it. I used HouseScan for a 4 point inspection during the approval process of changing my homeowners insurance. The process was super easy. HouseScan Inspections was professional and timely. They came right out and had a quick turnaround on the report which was nicely laid out and easy to understand. It will be easy to reference back to fix some of issues with the property due to neat format. Daven was more then happy to answer some questions I had during his inspection and even let us borrow his tape measure to measure a few things that we want to improve like the front door and the foyer lighting. My experience with HouseScan Inspections was excellent. They were able to schedule the inspection very quickly. Daven was prompt (even a little early), professional, personable and very thorough. He gave me an overview of findings before he left. The report was available the following morning and consisted of a detail report and a summary report, with pictures and even a few videos. Highly recommend HouseScan Inspections! I called their office on short notice to schedule a home inspection for my out-of-state clients buying a new construction home. Not only were they able to accommodate my request but, also they sent someone who is knowledgeable and maintains open communication. I met Shaun at the property for the initial home inspection. This company is incredible. First off, they make scheduling and paying for an appt super easy. But their biggest asset is Devin, one of their inspectors. He is meticulous about his inspection, and goes through every section of the house, such as plumbing, electrical, foundation, etc. When you get your report you get pictures of everything he saw that could be an issue and they are color-coded as to their severity status. I had two inspections performed -one on a condo I have a contract on and another on my home per-listing. The company made the process of engaging them very easy. I was able to approve the agreement and pay online. They also sent email reminders for the upcoming inspections. Both reports were very extensive and arrived quickly. Shaun did a fantastic job with our historic home inspection in Avondale. He arrived early, was respectful while on the property, answered many questions, and provided a thorough inspection report in less than 24 hours. Bradley Goodson was very professional and went above and beyond his duty. This house was previously inspected and there were multiple issues that were not address in the first inspection and Bradley found the issues and alerted us to them. The report was delivered the same day because we were on a time crunch and that helped us with deciding on whether we would go back to seller and ask for repairs.

Hired HouseScan from our agent's recommendation. Called around other companies and they were the best option for what they cover and price was very fair. We are out of state buyers so a thorough inspection is what we wanted. Report was very thorough with high quality photos to show any areas of concern. I had a great experience with HouseScan Inspections. Daven Brier did the inspection on my potential property; he was very thorough and answered the millions of questions I had! Very polite and efficient! I highly recommend this company and the inspector! If you do need a WDO inspection though I would NOT use Nader's Pest Raiders (a recommendation from their site when booking inspection). I had a very unfortunate experience with them.

Excellent company with great grasp on technical details! My husband and I are buying a fairly new home in Nocatee and Kurt performed the inspection. He was very thorough during our walk-through and his detailed report included who should perform the repairs and detailed pictures with markup. He even included DIY videos on how to repair very minor issues that he found.

I am on the seller side of one of their inspections.
I am a commercial general contractor for 20 years. Have dealt with a lot of inspectors in the construction business around JACKSONVILLE area and believe me I know they have a job to do and respect them.
A few positives:
- found some loose aluminum electrical connections that I thought had been fixed and were not.
- found some WDO I had missed on fascia.
Negatives ( or learning opportunity):
These guys are very young without a sense of reasonable expectations and very little construction experience. Especially in older homes. I
