Originally from Springfield, Ohio, Dr. Stella received her BA in Biochemistry from Miami University and her DMD from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. After working for a few years as a general dentist in Ohio, Dr. Stella has relocated to the Philadelphia area and is excited to continue her career at Avenue Smiles.

A dental filling is a type of restoration that is meant to replace decay found in one or more of your teeth. Dental fillings are made out of composite resin, so they look and feel like your natural teeth. If you have a cavity, the decay will first be removed and the filling put into its place. You can think of a filling as a way to restrengthen the tooth and prevent the decay from spreading.
Fluoride is essential for keeping teeth strong and healthy. In most cases, children and adults get enough fluoride through their drinking water and toothpaste. Dr Avi is the best! My kids (5 and 1.5) absolutely adore him. The practice is well-run, efficient, easy to get in touch with, and a fun place to visit. My kids love all the dental hygienists (especially Esther and Sandra) and are always excited to see their favorite dentist. Everyone is very patient and calm with the kids and make the visits fun and informative. Who knew going to the dentist could be so much fun?!?

The best experience ever! I had neglected my dental health for a long time and went to Dr. Weiner . The caring friendly way of the doctor and his staff were amazing. They truly care and the doctor gave me many options for the care I needed along with no judgement for my ignoring my dental health. Unfortunately I will need many visits for follow up and additional work but I am actually looking forward to it.

I had my first visit with Dr. Avi and his staff yesterday and I was incredibly impressed. Dr. Avi is terrific - very personable and knowledgeable. His staff are the same - very friendly, very professional, and very good at their jobs (including a very good and very friendly dental hygienist). They take my insurance plan and are located close to my home. Best of all, they are honest and straightforward and only recommend dental work that you really need to have done. Embarrassing as it is to say I have been to the dentist in 2 years because of my fear. When I say they took good care of me and made every effort to make sure I didn’t feel any pain. Staff are so welcoming and they treat you the family . I also loved the fact that they don’t keep you waiting and have flexible appointments. When has this dentist been all my life ???? I have already referred at least 3 people who have a fear of the dentist such as myself .

Dr. Weiner and his staff were absolutely amazing! It had been a while since I had been to the dentist and I was anxious. They made me feel very comfortable from the moment I walked in. The hygienist was gentle when cleaning my teeth, which needed a lot of work. I liked the practice so much I am moving my 3 daughters over to him. Just as a bonus...He has great taste in music. None of that boring "waiting room" muzak.

I had a great experience at this place! this office was in network with my insurance which is why I chose to go there. The staff was very good about calling ahead of my appointment to remind me of the appointment. Once I got there, the woman at the front desk was very friendly along with the dental hygienist. I had my teeth cleaned and xrays taken. Everything went well and she gave me a goodie bag at the went with a toothbrush, toothpaste, and mouthwash.
Dr. Weiner was also incredibly nice! He asked me many questions to get to know me and showed his passion for dentistry. I look forward to going
