Candid Home Inspection Service is a well-established family business which was founded in 1995 and has conducted over 14,000 inspections. Father and son inspectors Steve Shorette and Nathan Shorette are both ASHI-Certified, which is the most rigorous certification process for home inspectors from any industry association.

Very thorough and extremely professional. This is our 6th home and thus our 6th home inspection, and by far the most complete and detailed home inspection that we have had. We sincerely felt that Mike was working on our behalf and with our best interest in mind, never felt rushed through his findings, and he offered candid and honest thoughts on any potential repairs or issues that he found. We felt that he was inspecting our home as if he were the one buying it for himself, and finding someone to care for something as much as you do, is a rare find these days. I would recommend him to anyone.

EXCELLENT A+++ - As a first time home buyer I wasn't sure what to expect. From reading online I only expected a report. Mike was amazing, he took his time after doing the inspection to go through every single point in the report with me. He showed me pictures of each item he noted and explained what it means and why it is important or why it needs repair etc. I really wish he was an electrician and a handyman and a plumber too so I could call somebody thorough and trustworthy to do any future jobs!

Would highly recommend!! Mike did our inspection and he did a great job walking me through the report. Felt like I 100% understood what repairs were needed and the severity (or lack thereof) of each! I was worried it would be overwhelming and confusing as a 1st time homebuyer but he made it a breeze. I walked out of the appointment feeling confident in my new home.
These guys do a great job and care about the customer, definitely consider them if you’re looking for a high quality home inspection and customer experience.

We are forever indebted to Jeremy for his quick & thorough inspection of the house we were under contract to purchase. His inspection revealed that we had mistakenly chosen a money pit with literally every major, safety & expensive problem a house could have including structural issues, active termites, plumbing, electrical, unpermitted addition, radon & roof! We feel like we dodged a nuclear bomb of a bullet! Thanks to his inspection report we were able to get out of our contract & move forward with our house search. We will insist that Jeremy be the one to inspect our future home. Wonderful professional

We had our condo inspection done by Jeremy last week and can't say enough good things! We needed the inspection done on short notice and Candid Home Inspections was able to get us on schedule the week we called. Being out of state and unable to attend the inspection, Jeremy did a very thorough job and sent an in-depth report with photos detailing all of his findings. He also set up a time to have a call with us to go over our questions and concerns. He came across a water issue in an unsuspected area during his inspection and documented it with a short video so we could see the water movement.

I hired Candid Home Inspections to inspect my new home after my experience with them when selling my old home. They had been hired by my buyer to be sure I had no major issues. The person that came out was so good. He was professional and knowledgeable..Mike was his name..Mike found an issue that needed to be addressed which I gladly completed prior to the sale..i was so impressed, I asked Mike for his card.
This inspection is what they call an 11 month inspection..The contractors warranty was expiring and for peace of mind, I wanted to have my house inspected.
