Mahe
Mahe was started in Seal Beach by three good friends who believed in great food, exceptional service and making lasting friendships with our customers. The atmosphere we've tried to create is casual, comfortable and cool. We have a festive family ambiance with live music and some of the finest chefs around. Our unique menu has something for everyone including the highest quality steaks, the freshest fish available and an amazing sushi bar where our chefs create the most unique rolls and specials.

Great food and atmosphere. The staff is always accommodating. I have never had a bad meal and have dined here a number of times. I have also used this restaurant for team dinners. They have a nice room in the back that seat 20+ (call to confirm size).

Great food great service we love Mahe! Try the Mahe Roll or their amazing Brussel sprouts. We've been coming here for many years, and we also love that they serve Bogart's Coffee too!

I'm not sure what changed but my meal last night was terrible. My $65.00 steak was over cooked, the sushi was mediocre at best. When the manager came out he apologized and did take the steak off our bill which was the right thing to do.
But the sushi being mediocre was a shocker, usually everything is spot on here. And worst part is they weren't even busy there was plenty of empty tables around us.
Just a bad experience and on my birthday too!

We celebrated a birthday party which turned out very good. I got there a earlier than my reservation and the hostess was kind enough to let seat me and therefore allowing me to bring in the gifts for the surprise. I also brought in a cake and they held it in the back until it was time to bring it out along with lit candles and they sang Happy Birthday! It was very nice and the birthday man was happily surprised! The service was outstanding! The asparagus fries were delicious and the jalapeño cucumber drink was tasty! The only thing that was a little dry and I think it was because it might have

Been to Mahe many times. NEVER disappoints! Scallops are my absolute favorite! I can honestly say I have enjoyed every single dish I've had at Mahe.

Food was excellent and location is good. A little small so it gets really noisy. Fun for a group dinner, but too noisy for an intimate dinner.

I really enjoyed both the spicy tuna cut roll and a crunchy cut roll. Great flavor great technique and great presentation. The clam chowder was good but not great. Overall had some really good service and I will be back

Delicious food and great menu! A dimly lit cozy restaurant, located near in Seal Beach near Bolsa Chica . Has a sushi bar, dining tables, and lounge. The lobster roll was yummy and had great texture. Will be back to explore more of the menu :)

I always get great service here, but tonight, a manager went above and beyond. My tire was leaking and went flat while I was inside enjoying delicious creations.
The manager on duty, who is named (phonetically spelled since I did not get her name spelling) was Kayt-lin.
Thank you Caitlin, Katelynn, Caitlyn...however you spell it...you saved me a lot of trouble and possibly a terrible accident.
Service and food were stellar, as always. Great job all around.

Sat at sushi bar on a weeknight.
Crowded, slow service, no tako sunomono (octopus cucumber salad) or any Japanese style cucumber salad. I am reminded this place is not a Japanese restaurant so I guess I shouldn't have expected Japanese salads, but they go so well as a filler before the overpriced sushi here. Parking was horrible, long wait to be seated, trendy hot spot, no thank you.
Here's the worst part..... I LOVE SCALLOP SUSHI.... MINE WERE SO FISHY I HAD TO SEND BACK. I also had what I think was seared albacore sashimi and it was very fishy too. Poor quality control.... I expect

This place is really good! The Mai Tai's are strong and delicious. The Clams chowder is also good. You can't go wrong with the fish it was so fresh and yummy. We went with friends for dinner and brought out 2 year old. Great atmosphere. The bar is separate from the restaurant which made it more kid friendly. We would for sure go back for dinner again.

Was in the mood for some mahi-mahi and this was what popped up on my feed!

No reservations need when arriving an hour past opening. It did fill up pretty quickly though, so we were lucky at the time we arrived.

We had to get the Mahi-Mahi and some sushi rolls.
Mahe Mahi- nicely grilled with mango salsa. I loveeee mango salsa!
Jackie Chan and Mango Sushi Rolls- nothing too special about it, very simple american sushi rolls
Get the Raspberry Mojito! IT'S SO DELICIOUS!
We got the dessert but I forgot what it was called but it was molten cake with ice cream on top. It was very tasty.

Currently in Feb 2021, this restaurant is not taking reservations which worked out fine. Hostess and all staff super polite, including Mason, our server.

Must try's: tataki wraps, baked scallop parmesan roll (just because you probably won't try it anywhere else) and definitely the brookie dessert omg!
Skip: sweet shrimp 2 piece sushi

Parking: free in the parking lot
Restrooms: clean, one stall for women.

Overall impression: amazing food, sweet staff. Haven't been here in 9 years, glad I came back!

Mahe's is a little bit of surfer cool tucked away in this part of Seal Beach. I used to live around the corner and would drop in every now and again to get some sushi, or even try a steak when the timing (and the paycheck) was right.

The tataki wraps (seared ahi tuna, crab and shrimp, avocado and sprouts with a dab of hot sauce) are very good, as are the mahe rolls (similar but with tempura shrimp). The coconut shrimp's also good, and they nailed the medium-rare on the bone-in ribeye when I had it.

Service can be hit or miss, but I'll always have a soft spot for the place because
