EyeCare for You is a third generation Barcelow family practice and has spanned four generations of Royalton residents. Sometime in the 1920's, Dr. Laurence P. Folsom started a storefront optometry practice in South Royalton. He had graduated from South Royalton High School in 1913 and his father ran the town hardware store.
EyeCare for You offers full range of primary eye care services covering all ages. Our staff can help you schedule anything from a routine visit to management and treatment of your chronic eye disease. We have a full service optical lab and can help you pick out the perfect pair of frames and lenses.
Nancy began working at EyeCare for You in 1992. She has been a Vermont Licensed Optician and also certified with the American Board of Opticianry since 1994. She graduated from Atlantic Union College with a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry. Nancy later completed her Master of Science degree in nutrition at Framingham State college.
Dr. Jerry Barcelow is a 1980 graduate of the New England College of Optometry. Dr. Jerry subsequently returned to Vermont and joined his father's optometry practice. At that time the practice was located on the South Royalton Village Green. In 1998, in order to allow for more space and to be handicapped accessible, he moved the practice to its present location.
Our optical center carries hundreds of frames with styles, shapes, and prices to meet everyone's needs. Whether you're looking for something lightweight, extra-durable, bold, simple, or flexible, we have it. Here are just some of the brands we carry. We carry frames from over fifty different vendors, including children's frames, frames for safety, and sunglasses.

I have never had an eye doctor, but I do now. I had an emergency trauma that required a visit. They squeezed me in same day and worked around my work schedule. I even accidentally showed up two hours early mishearing the staff on the phone and they got me in right away despite my mix up. Doctor and staff were all very knowledgeable, approachable, attentive, and kind. The doctor went above and beyond offering to meet me anytime if my protective contact fell out and I couldn't put it back in. The staff looked up my vision insurance for me because I couldn't remember my coverage. Not only

The staff was great wait time wasn't bad but just about fainted when I saw the price of the glasses. Can get the same pair from same office but in wrj for 1/4 of the price. Was suppose to see one dr but he wasn't there so had to see another which isn't a big deal but the only reason I made the appointment is that the first dr wanted to see me not that I wanted to go there as I have my own dr.

This is one of the best clinic I have ever visited, this comes from a person who has lived in China, Alabama, and California. I asked a lot of questions, but Dr. Becky was patient, eager to explain, and willing to research contacts she was not familiar with. I came back repeatedly to try on different contacts samples because I am picky. I ended up not ordering from the clinic because I'm flying back to California soon. Still I cannot say one bad thing about the clinic, from receptionists to nurses to doctors to wait time, very professional.
