MTSI is an independent power module packaging organization with engineering and design experience extending more than 40 years. Our company has gas turbine experience with power modules using engines manufactured by General Electric (GE), Rolls Royce, Honeywell, Kawasaki, GE/Nuovo Pignone, and others.

We are in the somewhat unique position of being able to provide custom engineered modules and their auxiliaries which range from 1500 KW to over 40 MW for both commercial and military applications, with emphasis on the 3 MW to 15 MW unit size range. MTSI can also provide power plant systems design support if required.

MTSI is an independent power module packaging organization with engineering, design, and project management experience extending more than 35 years. We can deliver custom engineered solutions ranging from 1500 KW to over 40 MW of power in both commercial and military applications. Our engineering and production staff is committed to helping our customers with their project needs from concept to field technical support.
Electric start is fast becoming the preferred option for motoring/starting gas turbines. Power dense electric motors, coupled to an over-running clutch, are mounted to the engine's gearbox replacing the conventional pneumatic or hydraulic starters. An off-engine variable frequency drive (VFD) cabinet completes the system.
MTSI's marine project experience includes but is not limited to marine propulsion modules, ship mounted generator sets, supporting equipment and subsystems such as fuel control and conditioning skids, water wash skids, and hydraulic start systems.

We can provide detailed design, controls integration, enclosure and base frame fabrication, subsystem design and assembly as well as technical documentation support to meet the requirements of our customers.Post-delivery support as well as equipment functionality and verification testing can also be provided.
MTSI has designed and created multiple variations of marine propulsion packages to meet unique and difficult requirements. From fast patrol boats to yachts, our propulsion modules and various included subsystems and accessories have been used to provide propulsion power using GE LM500 and GE LM1600 engines.
MTSI together with GE, Woodward and Bibby Transmissions has developed and delivered a compact gas turbine marine propulsion package for the Republic of Korea Navy or ROKN. Each module contains a GE LM500 engine rated at 5500 shp and is fitted with five GE standard shock/vibe isolators similar to those used on the U.S. Navy LM2500 propulsion modules.
