I'm honestly being very generous with this one star review. Ive only lived here for about eight months and I would never recommend this place to anybody!!! For starters they make your pay for water, trash, and sewer but will not let you hook up your own hose to the facets on the side of the building, the walls are paper thin so you will be able to hear ever footstep, furniture move, and any conversation that your neighbors are having. Not to mention their TINY laundry mat that is shared with all the buildings that usually have 4 out of the 10 washers out of order along with at least 1 out

Management is completely horrendous. They have no idea how to inform their residents about any changes and they will just random enforce rules that come with no notification ahead of time. When they become confronted about certain problems, like towing resident cars, they do not take the blame for anything and then just blame it all on the security guard that comes in at night. The security guard's job is basically only to lock the office and the laundromat after 10. He leaves right after, so to blame him for calling the towing company is absolutely ludicrous. This apartment complex has been the most enjoyable, comfortable and safe of any other complex I've ever stayed in. I have lived here for over a year and have no complaints. My neighbors are amazing, Johnny is always around and makes time for any of our needs, and the maintenence guys are all super nice and go out of their way for tenants. Facilities are nice and always taken care of. There are tenants who have been here for over 15 years... it's that kind of place. I always check reviews before renting so I get why yelp is important to businesses, and Modernaire deserves high ratings

Lived at this place for 3 years and couldn't wait to move. The parking situation is ridiculous and the management staff doesn't care to fix it, or enforce any the the parking rules. The laundry room always has machines out of order and there aren't enough to begin with. They need new managers that actually care about doing their job.

I have a few issues but ultimately this apartment is a YES from me as I would move back here if I could. This apartment has alot of great things, I love the pet policy. All of my neighbors have been courteous dog owners and are polite dog walkers. I love that the parking spaces are big and the management were very flexible about choosing available spots. I was able to contact the office almost always or received a call back promptly. My neighbors were mostly all great. The extended one bedroom with a yard is perfect for two people and a small dog. I had a couch with a queen bed in it for the living

This place is horrible. Within the first 2 months of living here all of the paint on my bathroom wall peeled off and when I went to the office all they did was tell me to bring them Tupperware and they'll give me paint and I CAN FIX IT MYSELF. Our cabinet paint was chipping off as well and this time they brought in a painting crew who took maybe 30 min and just spray painted everything. So if you're wondering why your hinges have layer upon layer of paint, that's because they do. They don't unhinge them when painting. The washer and dryers always eat your money and/or don&apos

We just moved here in June me & my hubby and we love it so far. Quite peaceful. Every one says hello but people mostly keep to themselves. Property is well kept and clean. Pet friendly even thought we don't own one. People do clean up behind their dogs which is something you don't see too often. They just need to upgrade the laundry a bit. But its inexpensive to do laundry so we can't complain too much! Lol...anyway the manager Johnny is awesome, he will got out of his way to help with what he can, so for now this is home sweet home the unit we moved in is fabulous, everything

Went in to visit this apartment complex on a Saturday. Showed up around 11 and no one was in the office. Figured they were at lunch, so I left and came back around 1. Still no one in the office. Other potential renters were in the office as well waiting. One of who finally called the emergency number to ask if anyone was coming in. Even with this hiccup I still applied. I received a call from the leasing office and was informed that I had applied to early in regard to my move in date and was told to apply again at the end of May first part of June. I applied about a week ago and had not heard back

Living in this complex wouldn't be as relaxing, peaceful, and joyful if they had chosen a different Manager than the one we currently have. Sometime I do not know how he does it. There are more than 150 tenants at our complex being managed by Johnny and no matter when or what time I call for his help whether it is a big or small issue from turning on the BBQ in the pool area to getting a fuse replaced or a bathroom floor redone, he always has a sense of urgency and is always on top of things. We lived here for 4 years (and just moved out of state). Although my cons list is longer, living here was fine. Not the best place I've lived, but not the worst...Here are some pros and cons:
Pros:
-central location, close to freeway
-Maintenance staff is respectful (that tweeker comment is ridiculous)
-grounds are clean and well maintained
-close to a school that has a great park for use when kids are not in school
Cons:
-Most units do not have a/c, so hope that no one around you smokes because it comes straight in your windows. It gets HOT in the apartments during the summer...

I lived there a few years back with a roommate, price is good, location in kind of on a busy street, the only thing I was worried about was the tweeker maintenance guy that had tattoos on his arms, I wouldn't trust him in my apartment, but I'm not sure if he's still there, Alfredo was the best if he's still there.

Been living here for 8 months and my boyfriend and I love it. Granted, it's the first apartment we've lived in (first apartment ever for me) but I have to say, I think it would be pretty damn hard to beat this place for a reasonably priced apartment.

Look, as long as you continue being a renter in SD, nowhere is going to be perfect my friends. Yes, this place has its (small IMHO) cons like mostly everywhere does. Yes, there is popcorn ceiling. Yes, there are still units that need to be updated in the interior (they are actively working on doing so and the results are nice - but a small rent increase comes with that, as can be expected. Nothing is for free. But here, it's actually worth it). Yes, you will see

Been living here for almost 2 years and can't wait to move out. However for the money, its tough to beat. Here is a list of pros and cons.
Pros:
Value for the money.
Size is quite large.
Management is ok.
Month to month leases only.
Pool area is nice.
Bbq grills at fairly new.
Decent quiet neighborhood.
Decent laundry facility.
Cons:
Ants are all over the buildings inside the walls.
Silverfish insect infestation.
Uncovered parking spaces.
Target area for car break ins.
Popcorn ceiling.
Most units do not have a/c.
Some units with really old carpet. Looks like dried patches of mud.

This place is great, it is centrally located and offers more space for less money than any other place in the area. I am very pleased with our decision to rent here. I love that it is month to month rent and the added security is nice to have. The management has been great Johnny is super friendly and has taken care of our requests quickly and efficiently.
