We will also provide you with a billing statement that can be submitted to your insurance for reimbursement.

Severe and chronic problem behaviors often cause immeasurable stress and hardship to the child and their family. NYBAPS believes that the best approach to assessing and treating behavioral disorders is the approach that has scientifically proven to work: a function-based approach.

When children and adolescents with (and without) developmental disabilities engage in severe problem behaviors such as aggression, self-injury, elopement, and other disruptive behaviors, it is necessary to conduct a functional behavior assessment (FBA) to determine why the person is engaging in these behaviors.
ABA is the science of behavior in which the learning principles are applied systematically to improve socially significant behavior. Interventions derived from ABA have been proven effective for children, adolescents, and adults with autism and other developmental disabilities (e.g., down syndrome, fragile-x).

Report
I worked for NYBAPS for a year during college. They are amazing doctors who are extremely knowledgeable and amazing at what they do. All of the therapists are passionate and trained exceptionally. They were an absolute pleasure to work for and an honor to witness the passion and expertise they put every day into taking care of the children they work with. This is an incredible place to work, or to receive Behavior Therapy from.
