Based on our excellent program Happy Kids has been selected by the California Department of Education to provide full day funded childcare and half day State Preschool services to qualifying families in El Dorado County. Happy Kids is a private child care agency providing services at three convenient locations in El Dorado County.

Services
My name is Sherri and I am co-owner of Happy Kids. I hold a Master of Arts in Human Development with a specialization in Leadership in Education. We opened our first Happy Kids in 1984. We are very committed to the early childhood education field. Our goal is for your child to experience the joy of learning, while developing a positive self-image in a creative and warm environment, designed for that purpose!
Scheduled program includes hands-on developmentally appropriate activities each day in these four major developmental areas; art; math or science; movement (tumbling); literacy; and enrichment which helps to develop a child's visual memory skills, problem solving, and learning the sound and shape of the letters of the alphabet.
The Infant/Toddler program is based on the "Program for Infant Toddler curriculum" developed from WestEd and the State Department of Education. The program is based on best practices for infants and toddlers and uses the most recent research on brain development to assist in preparing your child for success in learning.
Through developmentally appropriate materials and activities our aim is that your infant/toddler will develop a positive self-image. Your child will be exposed to a wide range of sensory, self-awareness and motor activities designed to promote the development of your child. Cultural and linguistic characteristics of the families served will be addressed in our program.
Happy Kids Preschool & Child Care Center is committed to providing children in Placerville, Cameron Park, and Shingle Springs, California with quality programs that meet their learning and developmental needs. In our schools, kids receive a head-start on the social and learning skills they will need to excel in the early years of k-12 education.
