Very good. I sat outside at a table that was distanced from other tables. I wouldn't visit any wine tasting indoors these days due to Covid. I must say that the two people who served me were excellent. They did a great job explaining the wines and the vineyards. The outdoor location was very nice. You should give it a try!

My husband and I came here on our anniversary getaway to Sonoma! Roche downtown tasting room was the first stop we made as it was closest to our Airbnb and what a pleasant surprise! Our server and tasting room Manager Sean was excellent! He was so kind and gave our dog treats! Absolutely recommend this place (and the Chardonnay too!)

Nice ambience but terrible wine. Too many better choices in the area to come back to this winery. We had 4 tasters. Two whites and two reds. The last taster made me make a horrible face. My husband was afraid to try it after seeing my expression but he did it anyway. He said it wasn't as bad as he thought it would be but still wouldn't try it again. Nice fire pit and decent customer service but still not enough to bring us back.

I specifically stopped at this tasting room because it was one of the few dog friendly ones in the middle of downtown. I didn't feel like getting into the car since this was the only place I was hitting before heading back home, but I did want to go somewhere I could bring my Lilo!
So here I stopped. And I actually had this place pretty much to myself the entire time I was there on a random Tuesday afternoon. Service was very fast and the guy waiting on me was very friendly, giving me time to peruse the menu to see what I wanted. They also bring you out a whole glass bottle of water, which

After a day of wine tasting, we decided to end in the city before dinner and this place was a great spot to decompress, have some good wine, a shaded area to chill and have some snacks and just have a good time. The location was great, our waiter was smooth and check in but otherwise let us do our thing and it was awesome. We each got a different flight and we each loved the wines and roses and champs we received and it was a good find. I know they have the actual winery on the outskirts of town and that would be great to visit one day too

Great winery to do a tasting. What’s neat is they let you pick what you’d like to taste and they have a broad selection. They also have cheese boards which are a tad overpriced considering they get them next door but are still delicious. Overall great ambiance, broad selection and great location at the heart of Sonoma.

Stopped by for an anniversary in town--didn't feel like fighting and making reservations at other wineries, so we decided to walk around and see if there were any walk-in tables. Our Airbnb host recommended Roche so we decided to check it out.
We weren't disappointed! Prices are reasonable and walk-in availability is plentiful, despite social distancing. Tables are seated well enough apart outdoors, so we didn't feel worried at all. We ordered 2 family flights--your server will bring each selection out one by one, so you're able to enjoy them without distractions. We liked

Fell in love with the Tamarix. If you're in the mood for something light and fruity, I would highly suggest the 2018 Tamarix. The charcuterie board was also very tasty with dried apricots, figs, two cheeses, almonds, olives, jam, and crackers. They were busy but the staff was attentive to each table.

We always seem to pay this place a visit whenever we are in town. They have a nice outdoor seating area, which is part of the allure, and especially important in these times.
The wines aren't amazing, per se, but pretty good... enough so that we went ahead and joined their wine club this time! We particularly like their chardonnay, merlot, and sweet wines. And the atmosphere and vibe are always pretty low-key and enjoyable.

They are open during covid, seating is very limited. They do not take reservations for walk in even though it says walk in reservations? You have to wait in front of the tasting room to get seated, they won't take your name down so you can walk around. Not a lot of shade so it kinda sucks to wait.
The Chardonnay was one of the better wines I tasted from here, the description given in the menu is accurate. Slightly sweet and very smooth.
The merlot and Pinot noir weren't all that. The Pinot noir had a Smokey taste to it, wasn't a fan but I'm sure it was the tobacco in it

Really nice place, super friendly staff. We had the Syrah and was fantastic. Mega bonus points for being so dog friendly. Someone wrote a review saying “atmosphere relaxed but seems dirty” — don’t know what dirtiness she was talking about. The place is spotless inside and has a lovely outdoor patio. Will come again!

Strange tasting experience. Our server was not very familiar with the wines and didn’t tell us about each before pouring. The atmosphere is relaxed but seems dirty. 2 Stars for a very affordable tasting and decent wine for the price. $20 tasting fee waived with one bottle purchase. Bottles range from low $20s to mid $30s.

Really can't complain about this tasting room located right in Sonoma Plaza - I'm a fan! We stopped in before our reservation at Girl and the Fig to kill a little time and it was perfect. Jonathan was our wine pourer and was gracious enough to pour out on the patio for us. The patio is decently sized, enclosed, and warm! Win win.
Jonathan was a good sport as we were wearing fascinators and sequin jackets. He was such a good sport, he tried on our accessories in between pours. I loved the amount of sweet wines they had and the fact your tasting fee is waived if you buy a bottle of wine

When we arrived late, Roche Winery was about to close but its staff were all so sweet and let us do the tasting. I really loved its Rose and all others have characters. You will be surprise when your taste buds find some tastes like black pepper from one of them!! I strongly recommend here to all my good friends & family♡

Fantastic wine tasting experience with a relaxing outdoor seating area where you can buy wine by the bottle/glass (roughly $30 per bottle) alongside snacks from the fridge including basic cheese, cured meats and soft drinks. The Merlot is full flavoured and smooth. It is one of the only places in the region that does wine futures barrel tasting included with five other wine tastes for only $20. You will love their succulent wines and other gifts available for purchase. Not an accessible venue. Staff are friendly, family owned
