Stone Edge Winery
At Stone Edge Farm Estate Vineyards & Winery, we craft first-growth quality Bordeaux-style wines from organically grown grapes in keeping with the highest environmental standards. Stone Edge Farm consists of four venues in and around Sonoma, California. Just steps from the historic plaza is EDGE, a private dining room and culinary home of the Collectors Cellar, our wine club.

To the west lies a 16-acre organic farm, the McQuown family residence. Due north, our mountain vineyard, Silver Cloud, spreads across the high slopes of the Mayacamas range. And our world-class winemaking facility stands a few miles southeast of town. From its lush setting, the farm yields a cornucopia of organic heirloom vegetables, fruit, herbs, ornamentals, wine grapes, olives and olive oil, eggs and honey.

In Mac's view, the joy of collecting is about quality, not quantity. It's not about possession. It is about a long-term experience, bearing witness over time to the development of a well-made wine. Our age-worthy wines spend extended time in bottle prior to release to assure drinkability. They are structured to reward the collector's patience with greater complexity.
It's easy to become a Collector and enjoy the benefits of membership, including those listed below. We invite you to join us now. Your annual wine allocation is guaranteed. You will receive two six-bottle shipments, one each of our signature Cabernet Sauvignon and our Bordeaux blend, Surround, in the fall and spring, respectively.

This is a review for Edge, the culinary experience in downtown Sonoma. We had an amazing experience here for my wife's bday. Starting with Melissa who helped us organize a special surprise lunch for a handful of friends. All the staff at Edge are incredible, super hospitable and accommodating. We had a number of special requests with dietary restrictions and such but they accommodated all of those. The food and wine are impeccable. Given the dietary restrictions we had some vegetarians and some meat eaters. Ever single dish, regardless of the protein, was incredible. It was a very memorable

This is a review of Stone Edge Farm Winery's culinary home, EDGE, located in downtown Sonoma. Customarily reserved for Stone Edge Farm's Collector's Cellar members and open once a week to non-members, we were lucky enough to enjoy a private lunch tasting in this unique and elegant venue, EDGE. Thanks to Maria, the extraordinary concierge of MacArthur Place for having the connection and clout to have Frieda Guercio of Stone Edge host us for this exquisite tasting when the day for non-members was booked and had passed. Frieda is Director of Membership and welcomed us with a tour of

Well done Burgundy blend, and a good mountain Cabernet for the price. Architecture of the rebuilt historic house and new iron / cement buildings was a plus, it was an impressive property. The wine tasting room in the historic house was top notch. However the visit felt a bit pretentious. It was also 75% about the owner, his life, and his pursuits. In fairness I think my family's preferred style has changed to simple, wine forward, and low key.

You can stop reading and just call to book your appointment with Dorothe to taste Stone Edge Farm wines at the Silver Cloud property. Just do it now.

But if you must know more....
The property is up in the wooded hills, about 20-30 minutes away from downtown Sonoma. Worth the drive. The property is gorgeous and they are improving and expanding. Dorothe is fabulous. She is knowledgeable, friendly, generous, and makes the tasting experience very enjoyable. The wines are tasty as they are today. But taste a few that have had time to age a few years....delicious! They also have great food

I'm not one for farms.

I am a city girl.

I refuse to play that Farmville facebook game that y'all are addicted to.

I look ridiculous in overalls.

However...

I like shopping organic.

I like supporting small vineyards.

I like award winning wines.

So Stone Edge Farm is my kind of farm.

Visits are by appointment only but I was able to try one of their "Surround" Cabernet Sauvignon-Merlot blends recently at the Eighth Street Wineries Open House event. Blends aren't usually my cup of tea (er wine) but I enjoyed this one and they were reasonably priced at $25 a bottle
