So if you're not aware, not all wineries or tasting rooms are open on Monday's, even in the summer months. But this one was! And I was so happy for it! It was such a lovely place to stop after brunch, and in such a convenient location. It's right in the middle of downtown Sonoma, only a stone's throw away from most of the hotels!
It's also dog-friendly, and the server working kindly offered my Lilo a bowl of water (but I already had one!). It was actually really nice coming on a Monday too, as we had the entire place to ourselves for nearly the entire time we were there

Had a great experience at this small local winery! We’re from out of state and wanted an authentic experience. The hostess was incredible, detailing each wine we tasted, offering an extra tasting at the end, giving generous pours, and even giving local food recommendations for after our visit. Would definitely visit again!

I can't say enough about this winery! We had the best time. The wines were fantastic and we appreciated the staff recommendations, they were spot on! The charcuterie boards were to die for. But most of all, the staff were amazing! Very friendly and down to earth, superb service. They were short staffed that day but we would have never guessed it! We'll definitely be coming again next time we're in Sonoma.

We made a reservation for an outdoor table with a fire pit a month in advance. We arrive for our reservation and they are clearly not ready for us, so they throw together a makeshift table inside and say they will seat us outside as soon as a table becomes available. Fine, at least they are trying to accommodate. We ordered a flight of red wines. First wine is poured, wine is subpar but willing to look past it. We finish our glasses and nobody comes to check on us for 30 minutes. Then, they ask us which wine they gave us last (very clearly not paying attention to us). Then we go another 30 minutes

Aside from the wine being wonderful, Noemi has been a gem that always brings us back. She's friendly, attentive, has the best music playlist and pays attention to detail. The hours have shortened to 7pm closing time (as of 10/10/20) with the hope that they'll go back to 9pm soon. The vibe of this tasting room is the best.

General notes: Great tasting room with cozy outdoor seating. Convenient location right off the square. Excellent service. Multiple tasting options and affordable bottles!
COVID notes: My sister and I visited on Friday, 8/1. There was hand sanitizer at the check in station and at all tables. There were a few booth-like set ups (comfy outdoor couches), and while some couches backed up to each other, it wasn't too busy and we didn't sit closer than 6 feet from anyone. Our sommelier wore a mask and kept his distance while pouring.
Extra notes: I'm typically a winery person but it

We drove into town kind of late and this was the latest place open that had wine tasting.
The outside area to this place is awesome. They have fire pits and plenty of board games. They have made it super comfortable to settle in, have some wine and a have a relaxing time!
They have a good wine selection and the tastings were amazing. The vibe is really laidback here and not pretentious at all.
We'll definitely drop by when we're back in town again!

Lake Sonoma Winery is an unpretentious, yet charming, out of the way locale for meeting with friends and sharing a tasting experience that is designed more to make you comfortable than to emotionally challenge your tastebuds or test your knowledge of the nuances of viticulture.
Lake Sonoma Winery Tasting Room is the perfect place to enjoy a rich and flavorful glass of Reserve Chardonnay, estate grown in the Valley of The Moon, or even better, their un-oaked Chardonnay. They also have an etherial Sauvignon Blanc and a summery Pinot Grigio. You just can't miss with those choices.

Stopped in for a wine tasting a really enjoyed our time there. They have a great cheese tray (along with other nice food selections), a nice wine selection, and a great atmosphere. Indoor and outdoor seating available with several heaters and fire pits to keep you warm. We'll be back for sure. The best part they are dog-friendly!!

We were lucky enough to have a lunch waiter who shared with us what he called, "the best kept secret on the Sonoma Square." Make a right down the driveway, just past the Sign of the Bear, and you'll find a unassuming tasting room with wonderful wines and a nice outdoor patio on which to enjoy them. And we did!
We strolled down the lane to Lake Sonoma Winery Tasting Room and were greeted by Kelly who, as it turns out, is Tasting Room Manager, ... and we could see why. What a cheerful and personable host she is. As she got our small group of four seated the charming deck/patio she

We toured a lot of wineries during our time in Sonoma and this was the only place we visited twice because their wine was SO GOOD. I am normally not a fan of Chardonnays at all but their oaked Chardonnay absolutely changed my mind. They have a great outdoor seating area too that is tucked behind the main street buildings so even though you're downtown and not on winery grounds, you still get a great secluded spot to enjoy a glass or a taste. If you're in Sonoma I HIGHLY recommend this spot!

5 Stars for the home-feel type of space with a nice outdoor patio. I kind of felt like I was in the kitchen of a food network star's home - type of place. Great service. The wines selection was ok. I didn't fall in love.
Why I was here // Was out in Sonoma wine tasting and randomly decided to try this place out before we called it a day.
Atmosphere // older gentlemen and women chilling out in large groups, they all seemed to be friends with the wine hosts. The vibe is very modern homely feeling and they played some pretty good music! I was really vibing with the music

My husband and I had a wonderful time at this winery. We were only in town for a short time and I am very glad we spent it there. Kelly welcomed us immediately when we walked in the door. They have indoor and outdoor seating and the couches are cozy! We purchased one white wine flight for $15 and all of the wines were fantastic in my opinion.
They also had a small retail area and a small fire lit at the outside table. They were very attentive and our glass was rarely empty for long. We played a couple of their games as we drank and had a lot of fun. Can't wait to visit again!

We finally had the opportunity to try the tasting room for the Lake Sonoma Winery last week. It is located very close to the town square in Sonoma. This wine, I have found, has very limited availability. My only past experience with it has been when dining at Season 52.
I really enjoy both the Cabernet Sauvignon and their Merlot. While these are big, dry wines, they have pleasing aromas of black cherry, cedar, cinnamon and vanilla. Believe it or not, the nose and after taste remind me of the .... much more expensive ... Silver Oak label.
The tasting room was comfortable and inviting. It included

Lake Sonoma is a nice shop with beautiful indoor and outdoor areas to sit back, relax, and enjoy a tasting. The tasting is $15 which is fine, but not what I'd call a "good deal" as I've been able to find better tastings for $10 around the Napa/Sonoma area.
I wasn't a huge fan of the wines I tasted. Most of the wines seemed very one dimensional to me, not very complex. I've been to at least 10 wine tastings at this point and Lake Sonoma is one of the best decorated of the smaller wineries, with some of the least satisfying wine for me.
