We have taken all the work out of searching for pet insurance. We have compared and contrasted all of the companies out there, done several hours and days of research, and came down with our #1 choice for pet insurance! We have eliminated companies that charge deductibles PER incident and pay on average reinforcement tables and have come down to our #1 choice in pet insurance to refer to our clients.
We DO NOT make money off the sale of pet insurance and are in no way affiliated with the insurance company. However, we do not like to see patient care sacrificed for monetary reasons and since we can't just give veterinary care away, the next best thing is to suggest Pet's Best Insurance!

Foxtails are common around Ramona. They are annual grasses that are common in weedy areas around roads, paths and fields. These grasses are soft and green during the first few months of the year. In late spring, however, the heads begin to dry, creating a threat to your pet during the summer and fall.

Very caring for our dogs. We know our dogs are in the best hands possible, but kinda pricey and every visit they recommend several additional treatments,. Our dogs seem to need a lot more healthcare than us, whilst they are home the whole day with a 10k sqft yard, go for a walk around the block every evening and go on weekend breaks with us. They seem very healthy, so not sure why we are told these stories that they need more protection. We are European, and from living 5 years in the US we have noticed that the media and other businesses are more focused on installing fear and that you need this

I started out bringing my pup here, and didn't have any complaints. They seemed attentive and took care of his foxtails, etc. After my cat's first visit in 2020, it seemed the care was inconsistent and inferior to the care my dog received, but I was open to it being a misunderstanding, and talked to them about my concerns. Made an appointment… mid-February, and Dr. K. suggested that my cat, Ricky was allergic to fleas. I say suggested, because she didn't find any evidence of fleas, but recounted a story about her own cat, over the phone. We treated Ricky for fleas, and his coat improved

I will not be returning to Ramona Animal Hospital EVER again. We moved to Ramona late last year, and I chose this vet as primary care for our two-year-old Catahoula male. Support staff has always seemed a little "bungly" but we wanted to support locally, as well as have a good health solution close-by for our dog. Unfortunately, I realized yesterday, that there is apparently very little interest in the health of pets, or the mental well-being of their owners.
I returned home from L.A. late afternoon, to find my dog on the sofa, somewhat lethargic, and swollen in the right cheek. Fire Department

Doctor is fantastic! However, the staff is the worst ever. Whatever you do, do not get in any disagreement with the staff. They blacklist you and hold grudges personally towards you and your pets. They are undoubtedly the most unprofessional and uncaring people I have ever met. The staff could care less about your pets/animals. Extremely self-centered, rude and one you cannot trust the safety of your pets with.
It's a downright shame too, because the doctor is fantastic. Just wish she would get a clue as to how her staff runs her business.

I have been going to Ramona Animal Hospital for 24 years. I love the personal attention our animals receive from Dr Kayser. And Kyle, vet tech in training is awesome. He is very thorough. He is always very personable and keeps my animals on schedule for personable. I am very thankful for both Dr Kayser and vet tech Kyle

Took my dog in for foxtails in the ear. Allowed the vet to try it without sedation first. Notified staff to call me if any troubles. Instead they fought my dog, made her ear bleed and the vet came outside to tell me how "bad" she was! She is now traumatized of the vet! Thanks alot! . Side note... My dog does not bite and is not aggressive. She literally shook in my truck on the way home and was extremely scared to be touched by people for a few days afterwards. Will not EVER recommend this place!!!

Better experience than any other vet we ever used. It's somewhat of a drive for us but definitely worth it. Staff is caring. Amanda is wonderful.
Another positive is that their prices are very reasonable and we don't feel like they try to push unnecessary tests like some others do. Highly recommended.

This place might have a good Veterinarian, but the front desk girl shouldn't be working with the public. Not only did she not have people skills, she was rude and not helpful at all. We brought our seriously injured cat into the office.. mind you the sign says it's a hospital, but clearly they don't care about injured animals. She turned us away and sent us to Adobe, where she couldn't even tell us where it was when it was 1 mile up the road. So the one star is for the recommendation to Adobe Animal Hospital. I don't recommend taking your animal if it's seriously injured

Holly and Dr. Kayser are the best. Memorial Day Weekend and my puppy Chapito got a fishing hook stuck in his cheek. Everyone was closed except for Ramona Animal Hospital, thank God. They immediately took my puppy in and had us back camping in less than an hour. We are extremely grateful they were open and for all they did. Thank you, you girls rock!!!!

I paid these people $300 to fix my cat's urinary problem. Yesterday I almost had to get him euthanized for the same reason. If Poway Pet Emergency Clinic didn't help me out he would be dead because of these people and their incompetence. I would seriously advise against bringing your furry family members here unless you want to have your money stolen

Dr Kayser and Kathy, coupled with a passionately, fantastic team of professionals, elevate the level of pet care and those who love them, to the highest standard ever possible. Our debt of gratitude for your care of our beloved pets over 17 years is immeasurable. Thank you seems to pale in our regard.

I am still in love with this clinic and the staff. They've added another doctor since my last review and she's wonderful. Dr. Vickie Swarowski is her name and excellent bedside manner is her game. I love how she gets real with it.
My dog can be a little intimidating because of his mixed breed but she trusts him with me to keep him calm and obedient. Some docs get all worked up about a strong animal and immediately want to anesthetize and overcharge. Not Dr. V.
Thanks to all of the great staff, the dog gets what he needs and nothing more. Cheers!
