The moment you walk onto this property, to the food, location and the staff.... JUST AMAZING!!! This beautiful situated hotel is one of my favorites. The front desk staff is always pleasant, responsive and willing to assist you whenever you're in need of anything to make your stay even better.
The restaurant Steelpan OMGG!!!! The food is amazing along with the presentation. I'm definitely impressed! The chef Mr Kevin is professional and you can definitely tell that he takes full pride in the menu options.
All i can say is... "Book Your Stay"

A 2-star hotel parading as a 4-star. Not worth the price!
Pros: Staff were nice, upgraded room to gorgeous ocean view.
Cons: Paper thin walls so you hear neighbors and their TV's night and day, wobbly mattress, the welcome sheet with covid info hasn't been updated in a year which simply shows management isn't paying attention. Common facilities are small--it seems this place is checking all the boxes of a 4 star "resort" just barely.
Ridiculous $44/day resort fee and it's unclear what your getting for it.
At a quarter of the price this place would line up with

VERY clean room with comfortable beds and amazing bedding! Front staff girls were amazing and very sweet! Views are what I would consider partial ocean view as they do not directly face the water but still kind of nice.
ONLY REASON I am giving 4 stars is the in hotel Steelpan restaurant was absolutely awful! We ordered room service, grille mahi with potatoes and asparagus. Most definitely frozen fish not fresh, very dry and no flavor just fishy (seafood eaters know what I mean). Also ordered the tuna poke bowl and was so fishy I couldn't eat it, was NOT sushi grade tuna at all. Also tipped

I have no complaints about this hotel. The staff was super helpful and friendly. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The pool was very nice and also very clean. They have a restaurant called Steelpan inside and I did not get a chance to eat there but I had drinks out by the pool they were very good. They have an awesome gym. It's in a great location. Direct beach access. You just grab a towel and walk across the street to the beach and they allow you to use their beach chairs. It's not far walking distance from Las Olas. There is a few nearby places to eat as well. They have big mirrors

Started off to a rough start. I have severe allergies so I always go to hotels with out pets and then male sure to request non feather bedding and verify with the hotel. Apparently the pet policy changed between our booking and actual reservation (max a couple of months). It still to this day says no pets on Expedia and Hotels.com. Luckily they put us on a floor away from the animal rooms, but as a person with a disability this is very frustrating and scary to find out when you arrive. They also didn't change the bedding and ALL the pillows were feather. Id even called earlier in the day and

We stayed at Sonesta for six nights and are already looking forward to our next visit. We stayed in a king suite with two ocean view windows. The room was large and clean. You are provided with a mini fridge, bottled water, and coffee. Our only complaint was that the bathroom was fairly small for the size of the room. We really enjoyed the location too! It's a little further north than most of the hotels so the beach is not nearly as crowded as a few blocks down. Two beach chairs are included with your stay and you can rent an umbrella for $25 per day. We were a little disappointed that you

Pros: Nice location, nice clean hotel, and staff are all so kind and helpful. Check in and check out was fairly seamless, and our room was quite clean. Our location was on floor 3 and the view was nice but right by the elevator so you heard a lot of noise. TV channels were subpar and they could benefit from a new remote/a Netflix feature. When we tried to order in room dining one minute, no one picked up the phone so we went downstairs and ate. Onsite restaurant was really good though so don't hesitate to grab a bite. The pool area was nice but the outdoor bar area is closed off with construction

I was skeptical about booking our stay here at the Sonesta due to the mixed reviews. I have to say I didn't have any issues. We arrived at check in and was greeted by Carolina. She was nice, pleasant and eager to help. I asked her about paying with two different credit cards- one for the total stay and the other for incidentals. She did not know how to do this but took the time to ask her coworker. I was grateful for her being willing to ask. She was able to allow me that payment option.

Bar - Steven, Patrick, Sally, Andy and Steve all do a awesome job severing drinks!
Engineering - Jack helps keep everything running!
Front Desk - Suzette and Chris the power team very accommodating!

Was this hotel terrible? No. Was it great? Also no. Would I stay here again? Definitely not.
Location: 3/5. As far as the beach location, this is an easy 5, but in terms of Ft. Lauderdale Location, I would say it's a 2. It's no where near any good restaurants or happenings, and some of the immediate area is a bit shady. According to all the reviews, I expected a MUCH better location!
Rooms: 2/5. We booked an Ocean View Curved Suite. We were given room 213 which had pretty much NO view, except a big eye sore of an "event location" balcony

I am in LOVE with this hotel! Great food options and right across from the beach. Every room has an ocean view and a super comfy bed. The staff were super nice. You are given a towel card which you go down to the pool and they will give you 2 towels. You can take them to the beach if you like. The hotel has their own area of chairs which are very comfy. You can rent a umbrella for $20 if you want.

Great location just across the street from the beach. Rooms are really nice, modern, and most importantly CLEAN! Check in was great and all the employees I came across were really nice and welcoming. Got some food to take up to my room from their on site restaurant Steelpan and it was really good. Got the coconut shrimp tacos and they were yummy.

I wish I could give this hotel more than 5 stars. From the moment my sister and I checked in, we had the most amazing experience! Friendly staff all around from the front desk to the wait staff at the hotel restaurant. Everyone makes you feel so welcome!! I wish I could remember everyone's names but they were ALL so pleasant! The hotel itself is also super clean, mask required everywhere which made us feel safe, family friendly, and thankfully NO spring breakers when we went (just what my sis and I needed). My visit this past week could not have been more accommodating. I had an issue with my debit card and jennifer was nice enough to allow me to have my bank mail a new card to the hotel she even brought it out to the pool while I sunbathed. Talk about service! Suzette was extremely helpful with my checkout. Steve and Pat took good care of me at the Steel pan the food and drinks were amazing. Chris allowed me to hold my suitcase behind the counter as I had a few hours to kill before my flight. The hotel lobby was spotless and staff could not be been nicer. Perfect location, Great staff, clean rooms, quiet floors, easy access to Beach, and better than we expected! You receive two beach chairs as a guest(well it's included in costs). It looks exactly as advertised. Traveled in February to experience this beauty. Only complaint is the pool area- it's pretty small and with Pandemic restrictions, we just didn't feel safe and restaurant is pretty pricey for average food. Everything about this hotel is pretty relaxing. Check it out!

The hotel is beautiful. The rooms are spacious, with comfortable bedding. We had a view of the pool and fire pit outside of our spacious two bedroom suite. Suite is fully stocked with dishes and cook wear for your long stay. There is a television in every room that offers basic channels. Our only complaint was there was no soap in the master bathroom and no linens for the sofa bed. The staffing is very light at the moment so we had to wait for awhile to get the stuff we needed. One particular lady at the check in wasn't very friendly the night we checked in, she actually yelled at my sister
