Mutt Lynch Winery
Winemaker and owner Brenda Lynch didn't grow up dreaming to be a winemaker. She discovered her passion for winemaking when she, husband Chris and their 3 dogs moved to Sonoma County in 1994.

Brenda started to work in cellars in the Russian River Valley and she credits these early years as cellar worker into cellar master with providing the foundation of her winemaking philosophy - harvest beautiful fruit, treat it gently in the winery and keep the winemaking as natural as possible. In 1995, Brenda decided to make her first professional wine, a Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel, and Mutt Lynch Winery was born.
Services
When Mutt Lynch Winery was established in 1995, Maximilian (Max) and Nikita (Nicki) become our original winery dogs. Max was a sweet, sensitive male - a mix of golden lab and english setter we believe. And Nicki was a dominating female - Chesapeake Bay Retriever and Terrior mix. They were the odd couple indeed.
The vineyards that have a truly special place for Mutt Lynch are those associated with our Reserve "mbf" wines. We leave the farming to long-time grape growers, relying instead on hand shake agreements built on trust and friendship. Each and every vintage, Brenda works with our growers on the "Mutt Lynch blocks", those rows or sections that Brenda has deemed ideal to produce our wines.
Please note: All wine purchases require an adult signature (Age 21+) upon delivery. If you have special requests - delivery by, delivery after, delivery method, etc., please mention this in your order notes. Winemaker Brenda Lynch is very, very excited about her 2019 Merlot Over and Play Dead. When asked to describe the wine, she said "red berries, licorice and mocha coffee" Doesn't that sound delicious?
Each order allows for you to send in one dog photo. Should you wish to add additional dog photos to create different labels, we charge $10 for each additional photo label. Please add this to your shopping cart by selecting the "Extra Label Upcharge" below. Please Note: All wine purchases require an adult signature (Age 21+) upon delivery.
Launched in 2017, our Wines That Give Back program has fast become our signature charitable program to support animal rescue organizations with our wines. Winemaker/owner Brenda Lynch works with each nonprofit animal rescue group to design a unique label using artwork that is personal to that organization.

Not impressed with the handling of a Futures order from March 2020 that was supposed to ship October 2020. Totally understand what Covid has done to supply chains and not complaining about that. But the total lack of communication about any delays is really unacceptable. Have asked for a status multiple times and have now asked for order to be cancelled and CC refunded. Still no response. Will dispute charge with CC company. Maybe this is the only way to get a response.
Update: Was able to contact Brenda and she issued a refund. FWIW, we did enjoy her wines that we tasted back in 2020.

I absolutely love this winery that I went to for the first time this week! I am biased since I'm a huge dog lover. This place is very dog friendly and the owner gives back a portion of all the wine purchased to charities supporting dogs. All purchases give 10% to charity and some select wines donate 25% of their sales to specific charities supporting dogs.

The friend I was with prefered red wine so we ended up getting a couple of glasses instead of doing the wine tasting. The wine was amazing (both glasses) and this winery is in the Town Green so there is lots of restaurants and shops that

Had the most absolute fun time I have ever had at a winery! We got to meet Brenda, the wine maker/owner, which was a treat! She is down to earth and loves every dog that walks into the door! Her dog treat plate was extra special for our Labs! Tons of awesome swag and gifts for the dog lovers in your life! ❤❤

Really, really enjoyed this place, it's location and what the owner is doing. We had a wonderful tasting. Dawn was great. I loved how it was geared towards dogs. I love animals and our Shih Tzu, Disco had her own doggie charcuterie board! The wine was good and I loved how they featured dogs on the labels. Super creative and fun. The location is perfect for exploring the charming city of Windsor. Within walking distance there is a park and plenty of restaurants to grab a bite to eat. I highly recommend.

We love this place! It's in downtown Windsor diagonally across from the old train station. Brenda, the owner and winemaker, is good at wine - and she loves dogs. Some of the proceeds go to animal rescues. My favorite of her wines is Hellhound.

The cutest wine tasting room around with the best wine! Your dog is the guest on honor here - provided with water, a dog bed, a basket of dog toys, AND (as if they haven't already gone above and beyond) a doggie charcuterie board! The owner, Brenda, is also the wine maker and her wines are incredible. I love everything about this tasting room.

We were visiting the area with our dog and wanted to try some wine, so we stopped by Mutt Lynch Winery. We are totally inexperienced with wine, but Brenda, the owner, was so friendly and made us feel very welcome. She even brought out a bed, iced water, and treats for our dog. The shop inside is also absolutely adorable and filled with cute dog merch and local products. I would absolutely recommend a visit to Mutt Lynch if you're in the area!

Loved it. It was girl scout cookie season when we went so they paired girl scout cookies with the tasting which was just perfect. Also our dogs got their own treat "tasting." We'll definitely be back. Perfect for dog lovers.

This spot has a really quirky demeanor. If your looking to step into something different for a change in wine country - this would be it.

The wines I found were a little bit on the sweeter side but one is a little off track if your going to judge a dog-cenric winery for their wines...

We had a great time with friends and our dogs this weekend at Mutt Lynch. Evelyn was great. Dogs can be off-leash n were given treats. At one point there were 6-7 dogs of all sizes n it was fun. People are nice too. It's in the downtown. Would recommend Mutt Lynch!

A dog friendly haven with very tasty wines! Mutt Lynch Winery is a casual tasting room that's tucked away in Downtown Windsor. If you're a fan of dogs, you will absolutely love this winery! This is by far one of the most dog friendly tasting rooms that I've ever been to.

The wine bottles feature beautiful handmade artwork of dogs. The owner is a dog lover and it is very apparent throughout the tasting room. What's great about Mutt Lynch is this a portion of your wine purchase is donated to dog rescue foundations. I always admire a business that gives back to

Tip: call ahead to see if the specific day of your visit will be a dog friendly tasting date, because you can't rely on the name, mission, social media outlets, or signage.

"No dogs allowed the first two weekends of every March" for "barrel tastings," per the employee that rushed my friends, leashed puppy, and I out faster than I could process what was going on. Please note: this was not stated on their website, social media pages (incl. Yelp page), nor stated anywhere on their signage (incl. front doors). Instead, what is stated is that they are open to dogs at all times

Great place, wine and service. I already was a fan, but brought my
3 girlfriends with me this time. We all ended up taking a bottle home.
I actually became a member. This is big for me, because I do not commit to one winery that easily. But Brenda's wines are delicious, affordable and all going to a good cause. You cannot go wrong!
Thank you again or a great Sunday afternoon.

It is a very gimmicky winery. You don't buy this wine because it tastes great, you buy this wine cause you love dogs and it's a dog themed winery.
That said, our group of 4 arrived on monday monday at 11:30 (30 min after supposedly opening), ...and the door was still locked. The lady opened for us, but it was pretty obvious she wasn't interested in serving us a tasting. She wasnt quite rude, but definitely not nice either. Would not recommend the tasting room or the wine.

Seriously LOVE this place! It is literally all things wine & dogs. They are passionate about giving back to the local community of dog rescues and dog centered organizations. And their wine is amazing! The staff is super friendly and attentive to everyone who enters their tasting room, whether two legged or 4! Dogs are greeted with loves and treats, while the humans are greeted with smiles and warm welcomes.

This was a really fun tasting experience. I didn't get the hosts name that was pouring our tastings but she was enthusiastic about the wine and the area. This was our first stop on our way into a wine weekend, she was nice enough to answer all the questions we could cook up about the area and wine in general. As it got busier we sat at a table and enjoyed a glass. All the locals and out of towners that came in for a tasting we're casual, fun and lively. It was a really cool environment. They are also super dog friendly. Our dog was welcomed in and given treats and we were given a list

Fun place in a cute town... wonderful staff pouring fun and great tasting wines... often you'll run into the owners and winemaker ,Brenda Lynch who's got some of the finest taste buds this side of the Pacific Ocean. Check it out. And try the unusual varieties she finds from her farmer connections... Charbono, Viognier, Rousanne, Chenin Blanc... yup that's right, not your usual old place for tasting... this place rocks!! And by the way, if you have a dog or two be sure and check out the dog gifts.

I didn't need to redeem their check in offer because your tasting fee is waived with a purchase of any bottle. I took home a Chardonnay and two bottles of the Duex Amis reds. Deciding on those three was tough, as all of their wines are solid. They have three flights to choose from and most focus on reds. They were all really balanced and ranged from dry to rich, so there is something for everyone.

Our attendant was so incredibly patient with our group. We dropped in unannounced and are kind of a rowdy crew. She invited us to sit at the table and kept track of who had what. When one of the
