Vincent Arroyo Family Winery was founded by Vincent Arroyo. One day, while thumbing through the San Francisco Chronicle in the early 1970's, Vince discovered a farming property for sale just north of a small town called Calistoga, CA. Always feeling more at home with the land than in the Silicon Valley working as a mechanical engineer, Vince was immediately intrigued with a more "rural" lifestyle and decided it was time to make a change.
After purchasing the 23 acre property in 1972, he began to transform the existing prune and walnut orchards into what exists today. In the beginning, he sold all the grapes to the Napa Co-Op but Vince soon began making a little wine and eventually released his first commercial vintage for Vincent Arroyo Family Winery in 1984.

Services
Every year, we stash several cases of each of the wines we bottle away in our cellar into what we call our wine LIBRARY. Year after year, we carefully store these wines. In late April of each calendar year, we sneak back into the cellar in an attempt to make the difficult determination as to which wines are ready for re-release and which wines could age for additional years.
In 2016, the barrel cooperage, Tonnellerie O, launched a Master Cooper Program that was the first of it's kind. The program offers participating winemaker's a complete forest-to-barrel experience where they explore the oak forests of France with the Master Cooper of Tonnellerie O and seek out the highest quality trees that would showcase their individual wines.
Buying Futures refers to purchasing wine that is still maturing in barrel OR wines that have been just bottled but not yet released for pick up or shipping. Each year, we invite our Standing Order members and past Futures buyers to visit and be the first to taste the newest vintage, straight out of barrel.
The Greenwood Ranch is where it all began when Vincent and Marjorie bought this ranch in 1972. At the time, the property was planted in mostly prunes, walnuts and a few grape vines. Vincent, with the help of the Greenwood neighbors, replaced the prunes and walnut orchards with wine grapes. These original plantings were varieties popular at the time such as Napa Gamay.
We have a very special idea of a Wine Club at Vincent Arroyo Family Winery - you design your own "allocation" each year. We then reserve those wines for you each year, and you can change that reservation at any time, so every year you get exactly the wines that you select. To become a standing order customer, you must order wine online, purchase wine in our tasting room, or call us to make a purchase.

I’ve known Vince for over 30 years. My wife and I love visiting with him when we’re able to get to Calistoga. Other than being a superb vintner, he’s also a good friend. When we are away from Arroyo Winery, we miss Vince. I’ve had such good times working for and with him on his construction projects. I personally have taken a particular liking to the Rattlesnake Petite Syrah. I’ve had cases of this nectar from 2002 and forward. Hope to visit this fantastic Winery and Friend in the very near future.

Recently visited Vincent Arroyo Winery, while driving from Sonoma to the winery you pass hundreds of other wineries, but let me tell you that it was worth the drive from the moment we arrived our host Jeff was amazing. Even though we were running late for our appointment we were greeted by Jeff and immediately sat and started our tasting. The wines were amazing and Jeff was very knowledgeable about the history and wine making process. We were even able to tour the winery and walk around the vineyard. What is normally a 1hr tasting turned into a 2- 2 1/2 hr experience. I cannot say enough good things

We made the visit based on the recommendation of our B&B host. We wanted somewhere a bit more down-to-earth and that's exactly what we got. None of the showy Napa feel. Just friendly staff pouring you some well made wines. They were beginning to harvest and we got to walk around the equipment while they began the winemaking process which was cool.

Had another great visit to Vincent Arroyo Winery! Sampled probably a dozen great wines and purchased a case to shop home! This is the place to go if you want the full history of winemaking or, if you want to test your knowledge. Was greeted with nearly private tasting with me and my sister, got to see the vineyard and the place where they make the wine. If you want off the beaten path, yet delicious wine, …

My first wine tasting ever, and every tasting since has been unmatched to this place.
When my mom and I were looking for wineries I said I didn’t want commercial, I didn’t want the castle experience, I wanted excellent wine, a family owned vineyard, a place that might have a winery dog and a lovely garden—Well I got all of that and more at Vincent Arroyo.
Gorgeous. We were served by David who gladly taught us about their dry growing of the grapes (better for the environment too), about different grapes, and taught me how to explain what I do and do not like. Rosy the black lab was the sweetest

Hidden gem in Napa Valley! Jeffrey was an amazing guide taking us through the history of the family vineyard and wines. My wife and I (on our honeymoon!) were expecting this to be an average winery in between other highly traveled wineries in the area. To our surprise this was by far our best winery experience!! Great experience, ambiance, and grounds! An hour long scheduled tasting turned into two quick hours of relaxation and enjoyment! Highly recommend!!

Great experience while in Napa. Very friendly staff and great experience. Loved the experience David provided us during our visit. Rosie is a real treat and I won't spoil the surprise, but make sure you make your way in and see Rosie! The wine is definitely a must try. Most impressed with the reserve Cab and left with a bottle of the gourmet dipping olive oil. It is a recipe of Vincent Arroyo and it is quite tasteful. The was $18 and definitely worth it. Got to meet the wine maker himself and take a tour of the machines used to process the grapes. We were pretty lucky to visiting during harvest

A very nice winery to visit. Fairly close to downtown. Beautiful location. Wines are quite good. Prices are decent considering the area. Very friendly wine stewards. They will waive the $20 if you buy 3 bottles. Overall I enjoyed my visit. The only reason I don't give a 5 is for the tasting room itself. The walls and ceiling are simply bare plywood. There is no seating, which is concerning for elderly visitors. If they could create a tasting room that is worthy of the quality of their wines, this would be a 5+ place.

It was my birthday so my husband threw me a surprise gateway in Napa on Sunday. He had previously booked a 12pm at Arroyo Vineyards in Calistoga. The drive through the different vineyards was beautiful. We parked in Calistoga downtown and walked to Vincent Arroyo Vineyards which was a lovely 30min walk. The turn to the Arroyo Vineyards was beautiful with long tall trees and the grape vines all over the place. It was lovely to see they had olive trees along with the grape vines.
Our tasting guide for the day was Dave. He was such a warm soul and very knowledgeable about wine making and told us
