This wine comes from the great Leveroni vineyard located on the Sonoma County side of Carneros, just south of the town of Sonoma. This marks the 23rd year from which we have made wine from this acclaimed vineyard. The 2018 was characterized by being early; early bud break, early flowering, early veraison and early harvest.
This wine has a light golden color and effuses aromas of poached pear, lemon zest, vanilla bean and apple. Medium-bodied, it completely coats the palate with satiny textured tropical and fresh citrus fruits, featuring hints of mineral accents and a long, uplifting finish. Perfect for pairing with any dish that plays off fruit flavors, like mahi mahi with pineapple-jalapeno salsa.

During a time when one must have an elusive and, sometimes, exclusive appointment to merely enjoy a glass of wine, August Briggs is a breath of fresh air. Matt is a fantastic host and owner. The wine they produce, albeit small in number, is superb. My wife and I arrived 15 minutes before they were scheduled to close and we never felt rushed at any moment. Matt is uber knowledgeable and could not be a nicer guy. When you go, try the full flight and include the chocolate pairings. Before you leave, grab a bottle or two of your favorites. You will not be disappointed!

August Briggs Winery was a wonderful find. Matt was so welcoming and inviting and the wine was absolutely full of robust flavors and aromas. We purchased a bottle of pinot noir for a lovely sit down drink and also purchased another to take back home. If you are looking for a unique and warm experience - this is the spot!

My wife and I had a great time! We went on a Friday afternoon (first weekend in May) and at the time were the only people in the place so the setting was very private and the young lady that conducted our tasting was very personable and knowledgeable. She even gave us some amazing recommendations. Definitely worth the visit, and somewhere we will visit again when back in the Napa Valley.

Very pleasant experience. First tasting we did that day. The wine was absolutely amazing! Such unique flavors and to my surprise they ship to Utah!! We bought 2 bottles and will be ordering to ship in the future.
